- The Event Manager is responsible for leading the organisation of the corporate events dedicated to internal and external audiences, aligned with the business strategy of BNP Paribas (conferences, client events, sponsored conferences and internal events for CIB globally)
- Responsibility for all allocated projects, virtual-hybrid and in person events, from conception to completion including pre-budget breakdowns and approvals, logistics, project management, website creation and invitation management, design coordination, event liaison, post-event analysis, event budget monitoring and accounting
- Lead autonomously the delivery of the events, applying effective project management to allocated projects/events, including frame and design, planning, execution and closing
- Effective management and monitoring of the project team’s activities for the allocated projects/events and ensure quality of delivery aligned to clients’ expectations, as well as supervision of the dedicated project event team
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of events within agreed budgets, as well as management of multiple projects simultaneously while being able to prioritise between various tasks depending on deadlines. Additionally, promote timely decision-making and effective communication between all the event/project’s contributors at all levels
- Event strategy and stakeholders management, by establishing collaborative relationships with internal clients and main stakeholders, building strong working relationships with internal clients and key supplier contacts and other members of the central and local Marketing and Communications teams and other BNP Paribas business lines and promoting greater cross business line / metiers/ regional collaboration on events
- Support the business in delivery of conference content on macro and geo-political themes, establish close collaboration with Strategic Marketing team members for the organisation and definition of content at events. Ensure well-balanced, high quality programs are delivered to engage and be impactful to our clients
- Event ROI analytics, ensure events' measurement with clear objectives and KPIs is implemented for all projected/events allocated
- Follow BNP Paribas policies and procedures whilst implementing projects, as well as management of all branding at events to ensure it is within guideline. Additionally, contribute to the event promotion working together with the marketing and communications teams
- Act as a source of recommendation to the business in terms of event type, format, strategy, framing and planning. Additionally, raise the profile of the events team within the business line and across BNP Paribas as a whole and contribute to the strategic development and implementation of the yearly planning of the events
- Apply the knowledge on digital event tools/platforms’ expertise and maintain and review for efficiencies critical events platforms and tools. Additionally, monitor new trends in events, as well as liaise with other teams for best practice sharing
- Presence at recruitment, training and team motivation initiatives. Additionally, contribute to training and upskilling of junior and experienced team members
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Events, Marketing, Communications
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Marketing and Communications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in English
- Creativity, innovation and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and a results driven mindset
- Critical thinking
- Ability to manage a project and to develop and adapt a process
