French Commercial Banking
As a leader in private and corporate banking in France, French Commercial Banking serves 7.6 million individual and corporate customers through a closely woven network of more than 1,700 branches, more than 60 private banking centres, 65 WAI (We Are Innovation) desks devoted to innovative entrepreneurs, and 38 corporate business centres. Hello bank! offers its almost 650,000 customers a fully digital banking experience, with loan, savings and insurance solutions, as well as dedicated guidance for free-lancers.
Luxembourg Retail Banking offers its 185,000 customers – individuals, professionals, private banking, SMEs and large corporates – a full line of financial products and services ranging from current accounts to savings products and from leasing (Arval) to bancassurance (Cardif Lux Vie), not to mention services dedicated to professionals and companies (cash management in particular).
Europe-Mediterranean (EM) encompasses commercial banking activities for individuals, professionals and companies outside the euro zone, including TEB in Turkey, URKSIBBANK in Ukraine, BNP Paribas Bank Polska in Poland, BNP Paribas El Djazaïr in Algeria, BMCI in Morocco, and Bank of Nanjing in China. Through its retail banking, private banking and corporate banking businesses, Europe-Mediterranean offers a broad range of financial and non-financial services to almost 15 million customers worldwide.
Arval offers companies, their employees and individual customers an ecosystem of solutions, services and digital tools to optimise their mobility in accordance with current societal challenges, including the energy transition and the rise of usage economy. Arval possesses a fleet of almost 3 million rental vehicles in 53 countries, alongside its partners.
BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions
BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions offers industry professionals and companies equipment leasing and financing solutions. Backed by various commercial channels (industrial partners like manufacturers and distributors, companies directly, and retail banking networks), it finances in particular rolling logistics equipment and technological equipment. Leasing Solutions is fully dedicated to a circular economy approach.
BNP Paribas Personal Finance is the top financier of individuals in Europe. Through its brands, it offers a full range of consumer loans to its 25 million customers through several channels. BNP Paribas Personal Finance has developed an active strategy of partnerships with distributors, automotive manufacturers and distributors, e-merchants and other financial institutions. It is also committed to financial education and e-inclusion.
BNP Paribas Personal Investors offers digital banking services in two countries.
- Consorsbank is the fourth-largest generalist bank in Germany by number of customers and the second-largest online broker by number of retail orders executed. For high-net-worth clients, Private Banking Germany offers its services in tandem with BNP Paribas Wealth Management, while companies have a dedicated website: DAB BNP Paribas.
- The online broker Sharekhan is one of the largest in India, with 2.2 million customers.
As the first neobank in France in 2014, Nickel opens current accounts within five minutes at any of 6,000 points of sale, tobacconists, or Points Nickel. Nickel’s accounts are accessible to everyone and carry no minimum income requirement. Nickel had more than 2 million accounts opened in France (as of April 2021), with a goal of 4 million customers by 2024. After Spain in late 2020, Nickel is setting up in Belgium and Portugal in the first quarter of 2022.
