The Role:
Reporting to the Head of ORM, the ORM ICT Manager will work closely with ORM management to provide second level risk assurance through contribution to the implementation and maintenance of BNP Paribas Personal Finance’s Operational Risk & Control Framework in compliance with local, international, and French regulation.
Key Focus Areas; ICT Change Risks, ICT Availability and Continuity Risks, ICT Outsourcing Risks, ICT Data Integrity Risks, ICT Security Risks.
The role will include supporting ORM management to deliver and maintain the required governance and control framework necessary to protect BNP Paribas Personal Finance, its Customers, Partners & Shareholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Operational Risk procedures are kept updated.
- Support the Head of ORM to define risks taxonomy, processes, and organisation cartographies, jointly with other functions, business lines, transversal activities, when relevant
- Check and challenge the risk identification and assessment performed by the first line of defence.
- Support the Head of ORM to define and update the generic controls of PFUK in the generic control libraries, when relevant with the collaboration of the first line of defence
- Within the findings resulting from the controls performed by the second line of defence, issue, if applicable, permanent control actions and report them into the Group tool. Ensure, in relation with OPC (operational permanent controllers), the implementation and closing within the deadlines of these permanent control actions.
- Ensure that the global principle of collection of historical incidents is consistent with the procedure and implemented in the Group tool.
- Support the Head of ORM with the preparation and organisation of operational risk committees (e.g., Internal Control Committee (ICC)) with the first line of defence and other relevant functions.
- Alert and escalate to the relevant level of management any operational risk incident and/ or any recurring weaknesses including in the organisational framework.
Skills & Attributes:
- Good operational experience of IT Risk Management.
- Communication and interpersonal skills. (Ability to liaise and influence all levels of management and work with other departments)
- Ability to write up reports to a high standard.
- Attention to detail and ability to challenge.
- Confidence to deal with new concepts.
- Risk and Permanent Control Framework.
