Position Purpose

Position Objective:

The incumbent will lead the development and execution of employee relations strategies, ensure compliance with labor laws, and oversee grievance handling and disciplinary processes. This role is crucial in managing sensitive cases such as fraud, misappropriation, unethical business practices, and other financial irregularities. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive employee engagement, and ensure legal and policy compliance, fostering a positive and ethical workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:- 

  • Formulate and implement policies and programs aimed at improving employee relations, enhancing workplace culture, and fostering open communication channels.
  • Grievance Handling and Conflict Resolution: Lead investigations into employee grievances and conflicts, ensuring a fair, consistent, and timely resolution process. 
  • Control Unit for Disciplinary Actions: Act as the single point of contact for executing actionable outcomes (e.g., terminations, warnings) for cases related to fraud, misappropriation, unethical practices, and other financial irregularities. – 
  • Collaboration with Legal and CHRO: Work closely with advocates, the legal department, and the CHRO to recommend appropriate actions based on investigation findings, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with HR best practices. 
  • POSH Management: Manage all activities related to the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, from coordinating with the Internal Committee (IC) to executing the outcomes of investigations. 
  • Employee Engagement Initiatives: Design and implement initiatives that promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, continuously improving programs based on feedback and analysis.
  • HR Policy Guidance: Provide expertise and guidance to employees and management on HR policies, labor law compliance, and disciplinary procedures. 
  • Develop and Implement Employee Relations Strategies: Formulate and implement policies and programs aimed at improving employee relations and workplace culture.
  • Collaboration with Management: Partner with managers to address performance management issues, assist in disciplinary actions, and ensure proper documentation and procedures. 
  • Analyze Employee Feedback and Workplace Culture: Regularly gather and analyze employee feedback to identify trends, concerns, and opportunities to enhance workplace culture and morale. 
  • Qualifications:

    - Education: MBA in Human Resources, LLB, certification e.g., SHRM or CIPD) is preferred. 
  • Experience

    : Minimum of 12 years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations / HRBP, grievance handling, and labor law compliance. Leadership experience in managing employee relations in a large organization is highly desirable.
  • Skills

    : Strong understanding of labor laws and regulatory requirements. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders at all levels. - Proven conflict resolution and mediation skills. - Strong analytical abilities to assess feedback and make data-driven decisions to improve employee relations. - Experience in managing complex grievance processes and driving employee engagement initiatives.  Conflict Resolution - Mediation & Negotiation - Compliance & Labor Law Knowledge - Leadership & Strategic Thinking
