Trade Finance Operations Staff

Direct Responsibilities

  • Minimize operational failure, including but not exclusively the risk of fraud by devising and by implementing sufficient regular controls 
  • Ensure appropriate escalation in accordance to the Escalation Matrix as soon as an issue is identified followed by root cause analysis and corrective action(s) implementation.
  • Comply with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Comply with the BNPP standards of Code of Conduct and IT Security
  • Ensure adherence to AML/FS‐related Group Policies and execution of associated operational controls, and to promptly escalate any resulting hit for analysis and decision
  • To implement strong control procedures according to Group standards and ensure staff adherence. 
  •  Manage activities of Trade Finance Operations, ensure all transactions are completed timely and accurately according to the standard procedure
  • Acting as Level 1 or SPOC for relevant Sanction Screening process.
  • Ensure all local regulatory reports in Trade Finance Operations scope are submitted timely and in high accuracy in coordination with Finance & Middle Office team
  • Key reconciliations (accounts, intra and end of day, monthly) are performed to ensure no gaps, missing or unprocessed transactions.
  • Take necessary action and follow up for resolution of regular & complex problems involving relevant team (IT, Ops, Finance, Business, etc.).
  • Develop proper resource plan to avoid unnecessary capacity issue to complete daily activities.
  • Support and coach team to upgrade their capabilities and skill levels to be able to support future business growth
  • Enroll in necessary training in order to upgrade skills and receive a proper coaching to be able to perform the job properly and effectively
  • All assigned training/courses as per internal policy and relevant regulations are completed timely for all team members.
  • Perform as back up roles and support functions of co-worker in Operations activities as per agreed back-up arrangement when it is needed
  • Provide timely and adequate response on audit queries during inspections, and close all relevant Action Plan/audit recommendations timely and satisfactorily
  • Ensure customer enquiries are handled properly with professional support and assistance, provide and rectify the status of documents/transactions or problem solving, as required
  • Ensure all procedures relevant to the team are well kept and updated.
  • Maintain proper filling of documents (paper & electronic) owned by the team.

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Contribute to BNPP compliance and operational permanent control framework
  • Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management Systems
  • Contribute to any project and testing related to processing system and contingency plan, including for UAT, DR, BCP, etc.
  • To provide product and operational information, recommendation or advices to internal customers including before new product or services rollout, including but not limited to NAC/TAC.    

•         Soft skills (managing team, leadership, time management, teamwork, problem solving , etc.)

•         Communication skills (verbal and written) – English & Bahasa Indonesia

•         Ability to collaborate well with local and regional teams

•         Ability to provide good customer service

•         Knowledge on business/PC applications

•         Ability to share/pass knowledge with team members and do necessary coaching

•         Ability to cope with pressures and targets

•         Good interpersonal skills

•         Strong product knowledge (Trade Finance, Supply Chain, etc.)

•         Strong understanding on Trade Finance Operations processes and activities

•         Risk Certification Level 3 (BSMR/LSPP)

•         Trade Operation Experience and Professional Trade Finance certificate (e.g. CDCS, etc.) is a preferred
