What is the role? 
BNP Paribas is looking to build a Production Support team as part of the Operations Department specialized on mainframe support. 
The IT Operations / Production Engineer for the Z OPS team will be using BNP Paribas procedures and processes defined by Paris dedicated OPS teams, so a strong relationship is also to be built between Z OPS teams and dedicated business lines’ teams. 
Key Responsibilities: 
Execute requested actions based on defined procedures and processes: 
o Deploy components and release management o Update, deploy and run Batch scheduling assets 
o Control & report about global Mainframe process (including files processing) 
Coordinate above actions with other teams, especially Paris OPS & worldwide application development teams 
Contribute to the knowledge transfer with Paris OPS teams 
Contribute to the definition of procedures and processes necessary for the team Help build team spirit and integrate into BNP Paribas culture 
Contribute to the regular activity reporting and KPI calculation 
Contribute to continuous improvement actions 
We are looking for people with focus on enhancing her/his core skills sets, develop new ones, and share the knowledge with other colleagues. 
To work following ITIL methodology is part of the daily basis in all the areas. 
We are looking for all levels of seniority. 
What qualities do we look for? 
As a Mainframe Engineer, we expect very good knowledge in the following areas: 
Knowledge of Mainframe Z technology General IT infrastructure knowledge 
Knowledge and experience with: CA7/OPC CICS / IMS DB2 
Familiarity with Endevor / Changeman / eGen 
Familiarity with middleware such as MQseries, CFT 
Familiarity with specific languages & technologies: Rexx, ISPF Macro & Clists 
Very good communication skills in English (oral and written); knowledge of French is a plus. 
General Skills we expect:

Understand and follow written instructions and procedures 
Be able to provide updates to existing documentation and procedures 
Very good communication skills and capacity to provide feedback
