Application Support Analyst
Job Description
Provide application production support for Transaction Banking/Regulatory reporting/Wealth Management systems in China
·Response to user requests, incidents and problems on a timely manner
·Resolve or coordinate the resolution of issues with other internal teams and/or the vendor
·Communicate and provide status updates on issues to business users, management team and other stakeholders.
·Ensure issues are reported, tracked, followed up timely
·Ensure to have maker/checker process in place during change deployment. Ensure proper handover from project team before system or any major enhancement go-live
·Support change management process and application releases
·Support Disaster Recovery Test, Live-play and Business Continuity activities
·Document operation procedures, contribute to knowledgebase and cross train other team members
·Ensuring appropriate escalation to management and/or permanent control (or compliance as appropriate) as soon as an issue is identified
·Minimizing operational failure, including the risk of fraud, by helping to devise and by implementing sufficient regular controls
·Contribute for implementing audit recommendations as per the agreed timeline

ob Requirement
The candidate should demonstrate a combination of technical and functional skills together will excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He/she must have a genuine willingness to work in a role where the operation of availability- & time-critical systems is routine. The following knowledge and experience are required:
·A background in maintaining banking applications, more specifically in Transaction Banking and Regulatory Reporting
·Familiarity with payment system like CNAPS2/CIPS, or regulatory reporting e.g. SAFE BOP, PBOC AML and EAST.
·Proven track record in maintenance & support of business-critical applications while realizing operational efficiencies.
·Good understanding of change, incident & problem management methodologies
·Familiarity with approaches & procedures of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery
·Good understanding of IT risk and security
·Must possess and display strong verbal and written communication skills (English & Chinese)
·Able to remain professional and tactical in stressful situations.
·Analytical, intuitive, and a strong problem-solver
·Strong team player
·Strong knowledge on Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) with hands-on experience
·UNIX power user
·Programming and Shell scripting
·Intermediate RDBMS knowledge
·Functional knowledge of SQL + ability to write SQL database script.
·Practical knowledge of change, incident & problem management tools
·Web / Application server technology
·Trouble shooting and problem solving.
Other Value-Added Competencies
·Have knowledge and experience using Agile methodologies and/or has been part of DevOps teams.
