Job Title:  Solution Architect  for EIKO Insurance Platform 

Department: ETO Strategic Protection Platform (IT Tribe Business Platforms)

Within BNPP Cardif, the mission of ETO (Efficiency, Technology & Operations) Directorate is to deliver our value proposition by steering and transforming our operational setups and information systems to support the company’s development and serve our clients and partners safely, sustainably, and efficiently.

The Protection business line is currently confronting strong industrial challenges that limit Cardif’s ability to operate with a competitive cost‑to‑serve and to sustain activity growth at marginal cost. This overall situation stems from a highly fragmented, locally‑focused industrial set‑up with heterogeneous processes, operations, and IT systems.

The creation of a new Global COO Protection department aims to address these issues by deploying the new Protection platform (EIKO) and its Target Operating Model on a global scale. The IT BizPlatform team will be responsible for the rollout and maintenance of the technology platform. The establishment of a new Global Protection Operations team is intended to define and implement the Target Operating Model linked to the new Protection platform.

In this context, EIKO Platform application has been developed to support any protection business relative to B2B2C model. 

EIKO Platform is based mainly on micro-services architecture using EDA and DDD models. Component  are mainly based on Spring Framework.

Position Purpose: 

Provide architectural leadership for the operational stability, performance and continuity of the insurance‑product distribution platform. The focus is on “run” activities – monitoring, incident resolution, capacity & performance management, security hardening and service‑level adherence – while ensuring the solution remains aligned with business, compliance and technology standards.

Responsibilities

Platform Operations & Governance

• Participate in daily/weekly/monthly operational review meetings with on‑shore and off‑shore stakeholders.

Monitoring & Incident Management

                • Design and maintain monitoring, alerting and logging architectures (Dynatrace).

• Lead Tier‑2/3 incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and post‑mortems.

• Coordinate with support teams, external vendors and business owners to ensure timely resolution.

Performance & Capacity Management

• Conduct regular performance profiling and tuning of services (DB, middleware, APIs).

• Build capacity‑planning models, forecast growth and drive scaling actions (horizontal/vertical, cloud‑burst, auto‑scaling).

Security & Compliance

                • Ensure the platform complies with internal BNP security policies.

• Oversee vulnerability scanning, patch management and security incident response.

ChangeControl & Release Oversight

·         Review change requests for operational impact, approve/reject based on risk, and ensure proper rollback plans are in place.

Architecture & Documentation

 • Keep the solution architecture diagram up‑to‑date (logical, physical, integration layers). Using standard tool provided by BNP Paribas Cardif (BizDesign)

• Document run‑time configurations, dependencies, data flows and disaster‑recovery procedures.

Continuous Improvement

                • Identify automation opportunities (IaC, CI/CD pipelines for operational tasks).

• Drive adoption of SRE/DevOps best practices (service‑level objectives, error‑budget policies).

Technical :

  • Cloud Architecture and all MZR BNP eco-systems
  • Micro‑services, API‑gateway patterns, event‑driven architecture, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) or hybrid environments, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • APM tools (Dynatrace, New Relic), logging/metrics stacks, incident‑management platforms (ServiceNow, JIRA)
  • APIM Management (Apigee)
  • Relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) performance tuning.
  • EIS Solution
  • Security : entity & access management, encryption, vulnerability management, security incident response.
  • Kafka 
  • Automation & IaC

Specific Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years of experience.
