Operational Tax and Regulatory Reporting Officer
This Position will be based in Geneva.
We are looking for a person to join the Tax Handling team within the Operations Department of BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA in Geneva.
The role of the person is to manage transversal tasks and controls related to regulatory reporting (Fatca and QI), tax statements and operational taxes for WM Germany site.
Cooperation and respect are important aspects within the team. The person will need good communication skills, as s/he will work directly with people from other Operational Services and Departments, with our custodians and with the WM Business of Germany.
YOUR WORK DAY
Regulatory Reporting :
- Manage the production of the yearly reporting for Fatca and QI, including 871m and 1446f if applicable, related to WM Germany
- Proceed with the controls in the context of the US tax requirements (applied tax rates, correct segregation of assets, clients’ codifications …) and have the corrections made when required
- Share your expertise to the benefit of any project or tools upgrade – from analysis, statement of requirements until testing and final implementation
Operational tax and tax statements:
- Manage the requests for tax vouchers and request for tax statements (if applicable)

Assure the full management:
- Of tax reclaims requests, from documentation filing until client’s refund
- Of tax optimization at source from documentation filing, daily follow-up of holdings to monthly breakdown declaration
- Open and manage segregated accounts with custodians for tax purposes (“participation importante”, individual accounts …)
- Proceed with the monthly booking of additional fees
- Complete the weekly report of transactions on the Italian market and the monthly report for the Portuguese market
- Support the Business in case of new requests, questions, … linked to tax topics
- Control and follow-up of various requirements / restrictions in certain jurisdictions (Poland, Spain, Belgium, …)
- Assure a paying agent role in the context of French, Italian and Spanish Tax on Financial Transactions (FTT)
YOUR PROFILE
- Deep knowledge of Wealth Management Operation
- Highly analytical and control-oriented spirit
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar function in operational taxation, ideally regulatory
- High resistance to stress
- Ability to work independently in accordance with internal standards
