Junior Collections Analyst

Main purpose

The Collections Analyst will play a key role in analysing and optimizing collections operations by identifying trends, evaluating the effectiveness pf strategies and refining credit management policies. Other responsibilities include, developing and adjusting models across the RCS portfolio, designing tailored collections strategies and creating performance monitoring tools to enhance decision making and operational efficiency. 

Key responsibilities

  • Production of KPI reports as part of the weekly and monthly reporting processes
  • Align KPI reporting to meet stakeholder requirement
  • Present ideas via reports and presentations, outline findings and make recommendations for improvements to business stakeholder
  • Perform standard and ad-hoc statistical analysis to investigate trends and to support Collections and Recoveries decision
  • Forecast and monitor NPL market trends using statistical techniques
  • Investigate data integrity issues, test assumptions and validate analytical results, ensuring accuracy and sensitivity of findings
  • Test the implementation of strategy changes to live decision systems

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s qualification or equivalent in Commerce, Science, or Engineering with a focus on Statistics, IT, Economics, Mathematics or similar
  • Minimum 1 year Collections analyst experience 
  • A keen interest in statistics, analytics and modelling is required
  • Ability to code in SAS and SQL, and business soft skills is advantageous
