Intern Cardif Japan - Junior IT security specialist

Cardif Japan is looking for an intern for its IT department to support the transformation projects and the run activities.

The IT department has around 40 internal employees and 30 contractors, taking care of the run activities and leading some projects to modernize the IT systems. The Cyber security of our customers and clients is the cornerstone of our applications. Data and applications are protected by many security mechanisms, that are reviewed and upgraded very frequently.

There are various secuity projects and initiatives, to give the best protection as per the state-of-art. 

The intern would support the IT team members and would be involved in various projects and run activities. The activities are not only local, but require the coordination with other internal and stakeholders , located in Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, France, Singapore...

The main activities for the internship would consist in the collection of information needed to have the global view of the security, their presentation, the suggestion of ideas or remediation to ensure security always stay on top priority, the communication with various internal teams to make the things done. Some tasks also may be given directly to the intern.

Security mechanisms are mutiple, such as data encruption, SSL certificates, penetration testings, IT continuity, inventories, URL registration and DDOS protection, end-point encruption, log collection , etc....

This is a great opportunity to work in BNP Paribas, but also to discover what is the security in life insurance business for Cardif Japan. Our entity has about 200 internal staff and our office is located in Shibuya in the heart of Tokyo.

We give a great importance to young talents, and the interns will be followed on weekly basis , to help for the onboarding and the follow-up of the different tasks. A positive internship would give oportunities in our entity as well as in other entities of BNP Paribas.

Most of the work is in English, but speaking Japanese, Chinese or French are additional assets.

Ideally, the candidate would have already spent 4 years at university or in an engeneering school, specialized in IT with a major in security. The candidate would be comfortable for communication (oral and written), with a good sense of synthesis and a very good self-organization to be able to work on various tasks simultaneously.  Be concise, writing mails with the right level of details depending on the stakeholders, the knowledge of Office suite, and the positive attitude are needed.
