BNP Paribas Securities Services Luxembourg is positioned at the heart of the Luxembourg Fund Industry: Possibility to grow knowledge on all activities related: Custody, Fund Services (TA, FA, FDS...)
- Assist the Fund Accountants on Net Asset Value Calculation in respect of our procedures and the ISAE3402 standard:
- Ensure the Zero Default Quality.
- Ensure reconciliations are performed (cash, securities, shares in issue) and any difference is explained.
- Ensure the follow-up of the pending items and escalate to the management in case of long and/or impacting pending.
- Calculate and control the Net Asset Values.
- Check that the Pricing of the underlying out of tolerance is correct with the usual Pricing Sources.
- Provide answers when required to any person in charge an action in the NAV Cycle.
- Respect our clients Net Asset Value publication cut offs.
- Analyse the Fund Accountant environment and help to develop/improve the current processes.
- Designing, creating, and implementing macros to generate reports, automating data entry tasks, and integrating Excel with other applications.
- Use VBA with the Microsoft event-driven macro programming language to create user-defined functions and automation processes such as comparing quantities, prices, and the market both from the client and the team’s end.
- Assisting in the preparation & conception of management Support, such as dashboard, Process modelling, KPI, …
- Engaging in different transversal projects
Based on your personal interest and underlying projects, it might allow to participate in the daily Fund Accounting, Oversight, Financial Reporting, Client Account Management, Corporate Investment Compliance production process, understanding different mechanisms, risks, and challenges, where applicable
The candidate may enter in contact with other service of the bank in the context of the standard global operating model.
Your work environment
- The job is located on site; in the eKinox building, located 60, avenue J.F. KennedyL-1855 LUXEMBOURG.
- The FA Luxembourg department is composed of around 160 people, separated in teams of accounting, control, analysts, and client relations.
The candidate would be assisting the management team for this department. - Outside of FA Luxembourg, the candidate would be in contact with the Global FA team, as well as local HR and finance. Depending on their assignations, the candidate might be in contact with product and IT teams, other FA locations, as well as client lines, transfer agents, etc…
- The job is not eligible to remote working (télétravail), or to access to satellite offices.
- No movements outside of the office to be foreseen.
- Possibility to transform the internship to a work-study position (alternance), depending on the conditions.
- Full-time job.

ARE YOU OUR FUTURE INTERN?
Professional experience and/or diploma
Requires a license or a master’s degree in progress, in either people management, finance, computer science, statistics, data analysis or accounting. A previous experience would be appreciated but is not necessary.
Compartmental skills
Candidate should be open minded and curious about their environment, as it is part of the job to take interest in the activities in order to propose enhancements/upgrades.
Candidate should also be rigorous and well-organized.
Transversal skills
Candidate should be broadly familiar with funds and financial concepts such as ForeX, market volatility, derivatives and such.
Any certification such as BMC or AMF are a plus but are not mandatory.
Technical skills
Basic MS Office knowledge is mandatory (Excel, PowerPoint, etc…).
Any other technical skills are a plus (VBA, python, PowerBI, etc…).
Linguistic skills
The use of English is mandatory (B2+), especially written.
Knowledge of French, German or Italian are a plus, but is not mandatory.
