Senior Administrator, Rating (Birmingham)

The Role

Provision of a senior administration service to a team of surveyors within the Rating Business line.

Responsibilities

•    Creation and delivery of quality reporting to the relevant client (s)

•    Fully understands the complexities of calculating rate liabilities for properties together with rating appeal and rate relief application processes in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland as well as gaining a good working knowledge of the Rate Management System.

•    Meeting all the key performance indicators, as set out in the various Service Level Agreements for clients is critical to this role.

•    Ensure portfolio movement is actioned appropriately.

•    Development and maintenance of client relationships including regular face to face meetings as appropriate

•    Delivery of a high quality client service, sometimes against tight deadlines

•    Is proactive in building relationships with internal clients and responsive and helpful to external clients

•    Functional or specialist competence with relevant understanding of business/ departmental context

•    Completes own work under minimal supervision/guidance

•    Can deal with novel or difficult situations within context of own function or specialise

•    Manages, co-ordinates, implements and develops a range of important activities, processes, functions or relationships

•    Makes some decisions within field of expertise

•    Is conscious of process and takes steps to protect interests of BNP Paribas Real Estate

•    May contribute to BNP Paribas Real Estate projects

•    Active team player 

•    May manage a small team of administrative employees

•    Shares expertise with colleagues

•    Proactively communicates to colleagues and others

Person specification

Qualifications

•    Educated to degree level

•    Institute Revenue Rating & Valuation (IRRV) (Desired) 

Experience

•    Solid administrative experience in similar role

•    Proficient in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel 

•    Be able to manipulate large files of data on excel

•    Reporting and Client Delivery

•    Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
