The position at a glance
The Talent Acquisition team covers experienced hire recruitment and internal mobility. The team covers experienced hire recruitment, internal mobility and campus recruitment & development. This role supports Corporate and Group Functions, Front Office Functions (including Global Markets, Global Banking, FIC, 2S, ALMT) and reports to the Recruiting Manager.
In detail
* The Recruiting Officer has complete responsibility and accountability over every open requisition assigned to him/her from intake until fill.
* Work in close collaboration with the HR Business Partners, Hiring Managers and Client Engagement Senior Recruiters to understand the specific needs of the business by performing a detailed intake due diligence (reporting lines and org structure, job description, skill set and competency requirements, experience requirements)
* Determine optimal sourcing strategy for the role.
* Build the candidate pipeline for each open role, respecting BNP Paribas guidelines for diverse candidate and interview panels.
* Select and qualify candidates based upon skill and competency requirements, cultural and motivational fit. Use current and best-in-class screening and interviewing techniques.
* Provide exceptional candidate care and ensure a smooth and pleasant interview process.
* Advise business as needed and recommend candidates for hire.
* Actively update BWelcome so that hiring managers, HRBP’s and Client Engagement Senior Recruiters can always have updated status on roles.
* Proactively engage with high performing high potential candidates and create a pipeline of pre-qualified candidates.
* Participate and/or lead initiatives related to operational health and continuous improvement of the recruiting function.
* Maintain strong working relationships with diversity associations with which BNP Paribas has decided to partner. Engage ERG participants and hiring managers for job fairs and networking events.
This role collaborates and communicates actively with the Client Engagement and Senior Recruiting officers to supply a full view of TA activity to the Heads of Business Lines or Function.
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
* A minimum of 5 years relevant recruitment industry experience; preferably within Investment Banking.
* Bachelor degree in Administration, Human Resources or equivalent.
* Proven ability to effectively assess an individual’s skills and potential.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of interview techniques.
* Ability and resourcefulness in sourcing candidates both internally and externally.
* Ability in engaging with Diversity Associations and ERGs to create interest and momentum around our open roles.
* Ability and confidence to challenge the status quo.
* Strong understanding of BNP Paribas culture and ability to articulate our Employee Value Proposition in a compelling way.
* Demonstrated client care and focus.
* Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of French and English is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Institutional Banking business lines is a plus.
