DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

The Transformation – Smartsourcing Practice is part of the Change Management department of BNP Paribas in Portugal. The Practice aims at supporting CIB growth and transformation by providing advisory and end-to-end delivery services (assessment and business cases, project framing, execution, closure) for in/outsourcing projects. The team, made of 25+ individuals, supports all businesses in Portugal and has developed over the past years a solid experience and expertise to delivering projects, industrialising as much as possible the execution phase while complying with internal outsourcing policies and local regulations.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support nearshoring projects delivery

  • Ensure appropriate staff allocation to project portfolio in line with business needs and priorities (capacity and resource management)
  • Act as single point of contact for the team vis-a-vis onshore and local stakeholders
  • Manage project managers to deliver projects on scope, on time and on quality

2. Ensure value-added contribution of the team to nearshoring efforts of BNP Paribas in Portugal

  • Duly challenge project assumptions where and when required
  • Animate the team via regular instances for information and best-practices sharing
  • Produce appropriate project reports for reporting and decision-making purposes

3. Improve delivery methods and governance and team’s ways of working

  • Contribute to the enhancement of the nearshoring standard methods and governance
  • Implement optimal local governance for project delivery and reporting purposes
  • Ensure maintenance and foster usage of digital and collaborative tools within the team

4. Consolidate delivery team

  • Support recruitments, onboarding and training of new team members
  • Contribute to the evolution of the service catalogue and offerings
  • Collaborate at Practice’s and Change Management levels to define and execute vision and strategy

5. Develop people

  • Provide daily coaching and regular performance feedback to team’s members
  • Support definition of standard transformation roles and job descriptions
  • Ensure development of soft and hard skills within the team according

PROFILE

  • Master’s Degree in Management, Finance, Economics or Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management is required
  • Previous experience in managing teams would be highly appreciated
  • Excellent command of English. French is a plus
  • Previous experience in an investment banking and/or strategy and management consulting would be appreciated
  • Mastery of project management methodologies and tools
  • Proficient command of Microsoft tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Highly organised and able to multi-task
  • Energetic, proactive, determined, drives change, positive, goal-focused and consistent
  • Create an open and supportive atmosphere, encouraging others to express themselves
  • Capable of delivering impactful presentations to the internal clients
  • Proven emotional and situational intelligence to influence positively clients towards change
