We're looking for a PM specialised in Payments change management to work in Spain and to be part of a UK extended team

  • London Organisation & IT Development is a key IT partner for the UK (United Kingdom) Territory and BNPP Group to meet the business, regulatory and functional objectives.
  • The scope of the team reflects the UK regulatory & business landscape e.g. Payments, Risk & Compliance, Tax & Finance, Health & Safety, Building Security, Diversity & Inclusion, Sustainability.  
  • Services are managed from the UK across a successful extended team model spread across London, Madrid, Lisbon, Mumbai and Bangalore.  
  • We supply IT solutions that involve in-house development, reporting solutions, vendor tools onboarding and automation. Our diverse portfolio of applications and services require effective and continuous engagement with stakeholders at every level, including regulators & vendors.
  • We also work extensively in support of strategic Global Banking industrialised solutions essential to the UK Territory. 
  • UK domestic payments is one such area where the UK relies heavily on industrialised BNPP Group solutions. For this reason, team members need to possess and regularly maintain their Subject Matter Expertise in this area and to be effective in stakeholder engagement skills. 

MISION

This particular role is a Project Manager role required to deliver Payments & Cash Management IT solutions on behalf of the UK Territory. This requires working with multiple teams spread across multiple global locations, including our own extended team.

Core accountabilities of role:

  • Lead Payments & Cash Management projects on behalf of the UK for industrialised global solutions as well as solutions required to be developed & maintained within the UK locally.  
  • Build strong relationships with all the stakeholders including UK management and project teams, looking for common ground and leading by example to create an environment conducive to project success. 
  • Follow required CIB IT Governance project lifecycle requirements as necessary. 
  • Create project schedules and keep realistic project planning. 
  • Facilitate and coordinate actions required across different teams to achieve project goals. 
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies with actions to manage the impact, paying special attention to any regulatory impacts of risks and issues. 
  • Promptly escalate issues requiring support from line management and sponsors.
  • Regularly report on project status reporting to management, sponsors and stakeholders and run steering committees.
  • Ensure that the project team is positive and motivated to achieve results, taking all members views into account.
  • Set the project budget and manage any deviations on time.
  • Ensure appropriate testing is planned and executed for all projects - manage defects prioritisation within the team and with the sponsor as needed.
  • Manage vendors and hold them to account for quality and timely third party system deliveries.
  • Ensure that projects are closed in a controlled manner, communicate learnings, providing final budget versus actuals status, and ensuring handover to production support teams.
  • Participate and contribute to team catch ups, reviews, retrospectives, progress updates and planning forums.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experienced Project Manager with good functional knowledge of E2E payments processing in an investment banking environment. Ideally will have worked as a Project Manager or Business Analyst on a range of payments systems delivery projects. The experience could be projects on any of these schemes - CHAPS, Faster Payments, BACs, CBPR+, HVPS+, SEPA, Target, including experience on ISO 20022 schema migration projects.   
  • Excellent command of English-verbal and written.
  • Very comfortable working in an extended international team model and with a diverse range of stakeholders.
