Position Purpose

Provide a brief description of the overall purpose of the position, why this position exists and how it will contribute in achieving the team’s goal.

We are seeking a skilled Enterprise Architect to design, develop, and validate the implement comprehensive functional architectures that meet business requirements and align with enterprise standards.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for:  

  1. ·       Designing and developing high-quality functional architectures that comply with business requirements and enterprise standards  
  2. ·       Building and maintaining functional models, diagrams, and descriptions to support business processes and operations  
  3.        Collaborating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other architects to ensure functional architectures meet business needs and are integrated with existing systems  
  4. ·       Participating in the development of enterprise architecture standards, guidelines, and procedures  
  5. ·       Supporting the SDLC cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment  
  6. ·       Collaborating with onshore and offshore teams to ensure global alignment and implementation of functional architectures  
  7. ·       Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve functional architectures  

Responsibilities

  1. Direct Responsibilities

  1.        Design and engineer comprehensive functional architectures for complex capital markets platforms, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.  
  2. ·       Experience in high-performance applications and modules using appropriate frameworks and design patterns, with a focus on microservices and distributed services.  
  3. ·       Ensure robust and scalable solutions are delivered rapidly in an agile environment, with a strong emphasis on data security protocols and controls / governance.  
  4. ·       Foster a culture of quality, promoting best practices such as TDD and ensuring high-quality deliveries.  
  5. ·       Spearhead the reengineering of legacy applications to adopt the latest technology stack, encompassing GUI, services, and databases.  
  6. ·       To assist in studies, projects and portfolios when designing/enhancing their architecture and implementing them throughout the project life cycle and control their implementation.  
  7. Analyse the current application Architecture to carry out a detailed SWOT Analysis 
  8. Understand the Business Priorities and Craft a Future State Architecture in consultation with Stakeholders 
  9. Compare and Assess the Architecture to future proof the  Tech stack 
  10. Balance competing priorities across Infrastructure, Security, Performance to arrive at the Target state Architecture 
  11. Work with the stakeholders to carry a Proof of concept for the Target State Architecture 
  12. Review the Target state Architecture with Sponsor and Key stakeholders, incorporate their feedback   
  13. Coach and mentor the current team of Junior Architects and guide them in the Implementation  
  14. ·Define, document and maintain the foundations of the reference architecture and participate in streamlining the Information Systems (IS) by contributing to its ongoing development. 
  1. Contributing Responsibilities

  1. Mentor and guide team members, reviewing deliveries and establishing technical best practices.  
  2. Drive the implementation and improvement of DevOps pipelines for production delivery.  
  1. Engage with Solution / Technical architects to design enterprise-wide solutions, promoting alignment and standardization.  
  2. Conduct and lead workshops and technical forums, sharing expertise on emerging tech trends and industry developments.  
  1. Ø  Contribute to the consistency and sustainability of the IS 
  2. §  Help analyze the impacts related to the integration of a new architecture block or update an existing block. 
  1. Ø  Support studies, projects and portfolios when designing their architecture 
  2. §  Together with Business or IT personnel, take part in the processing of the architecture brief when presented to the architecture committee 
  3. §  Contribute to the promotion of architecture requirements for projects and portfolios to ensure compliance with quality criteria 
  4. §  Contribute to monitoring functional architecture directives and rules in projects and/or portfolios 
  1. Ø  Pass information on IS structuring programs and ensure understanding by local stakeholders 
  2. §  Being able to act as first line for all questions related to Information System structuring program (Cloud Transformation, etc…) 
  3. §  Follow local initiative and advise them to be align with Information System incoming change. 
  1. Ø  Support Data management implementation 
  2. §  Support the implementation of IT recommendations following 2S Global Data Strategy conclusions  
  3. §  Support for analysis and improvement of data processes (project’s instruction and BAU): Right to erasure, Optimization of flows and Urbanization of systems (especially in the context of the study of flows) 
  1. Perform when delegated, local Project Assessment 
  2. Explain the process to any IT project Manager: 
  3. its milestones: GA, DAA, ITVC, IT PAR, IT ACR  
  4. its documents: AFR, AIT, DAA questionnaire, DAA report, Architecture document 
  5. Perform the Architecture and Data assessments 
  1. Contribute to the organization of the Architecture Committee (where there is no suitable organization) 
  1. Communicate and participate in effective coordination of architecture practices 
  2. Contribute to the distribution and transfer of knowledge of target architectures and functional and application architecture principles and rules to all teams 
  3. Help to promote and communicate about the Business and about changes to the functional and application architecture 
  1. Architecture community 
  2. Contribute to the central Architecture Board and works (architecture studies, communication campaigns, etc…) 
  3. Build a local architecture community and animate the communication on architecture topics (organize a local architecture board with his local CIO to collect local stakes and strategies) 
  1. Document and maintain architecture solutions 
  2. Manage and maintain the functional and application mapping of information systems based on the contributions provided by the relevant structures 
  3. Document the main functional domain arrangement (zone, area, block) with the current architecture 
  1. Participate in the technology watch 
  1. Participate to Application Portfolio Management on its perimeter 
  2. Maintain IT SPoC Referential up to date 
  3. Ensure 5 years strategic plan is fill each time an application is created or decommissioned change is identify  
  4. Manage Application obsolescence layer 
  5. Participate to Portfolio reviews on its own perimeter and provide the feedback to related owner in charge of Master plan 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related area (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology)  
  2. 15+ years of experience in IT Architecture or related field 
  3. Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) in added advantage 
  4. Experience with business process modelling and requirements gathering  
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  6. Ability to work independently and provide Technical Leadership  
  7. Proficient in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and able to adapt to new languages.  
  8. Experienced with various frameworks, platforms, and technologies (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, .NET, UI Frameworks, etc.).  

Enterprise Architecture:

·       Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).  

·       Understanding of enterprise-level design patterns, principles, and standards.  

Data Management:

·       Familiarity with relational databases (RDBMS) and No-SQL databases.  

·       Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.  

Integration and APIs:

·       Experience with API design, development, and management (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).  

·       Knowledge of integration patterns, ESB, and messaging systems (MQ, WTX, Biztalk).  

Cloud and DevOps:

·       Understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).  

·       Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).  

Emerging Technologies:

·       Awareness of emerging technologies and trends (AI, ML, blockchain, IoT). 

Specific Qualifications (if required)

       Proficient in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and able to adapt to new languages.
