Who will I be working with? 

You will be working a DevOps Engineer L4 Apprentice in our RISK Systems Information team, who provide the bank with a comprehensive global markets risk system, which is used to calculate market and counterparty risk capital figures. 

What will I be doing? 

You will be working within our software development team, to build simple software components – whether web, mobile or desktop applications – to be used by other members of the team as part of larger software development projects. The main responsibilities will be: 

  • Full-life cycle software development 
  • Specification, design, development (coding), testing, delivery, bug-fixing and support 

Technical Skills and Qualifications required for the role 

  • Three A-levels or equivalent to 96 UCAS points (and GCSE Maths and English) 
  • Preferred candidates who are finishing A-levels in 2025 or attained within the past 12 months 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Excellent attention to detail skills  
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written 
  • Strong interpersonal skills  

Conduct 

  • Be a role model, supporting and fostering a culture of good conduct 
  • Demonstrate proactivity, transparency, and accountability for identifying and managing conduct risks 
  • Consider the implications of your actions on colleagues 

Duration: 18 months  

Location: London 

Apprentices need to have a continued right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the programme.
