The APAC GM & ALMT IT Trade Processing group runs Trade Processing and Regulatory Reporting. The Regulatory Reporting IT team focuses on driving regulatory reporting projects from a technology perspective.
Main responsibilities for the candidate would be:
Functional expert on Asia region regulatory reporting requirements including OTC Transactions Reporting to APAC regulators like ASIC, MAS, HKMA, JFSA
Strong functional knowledge on Global Market business and regulatory regime in APAC
Build strong relationship with APAC business and other support teams including Operations and Finance
Bring expertise on business data and reporting solutions with a strong focus on delivering strategic solution to increase efficiency & automation and enhance control thereby reducing risk
Develop a clear vision of the target processes including innovation / digital as the case may be
Responsibilities
Act as Project Manager/Business Analyst for Regional & Local Initiatives to enhance regulatory reporting ecosystem for the bank and responsible for delivering various APAC regulatory projects.
Must have strong functional knowledge of APAC regulatory landscape especially trade reporting.
Have strong functional knowledge of trade lifecycle for various investment banking across asset classes
Engage in detailed studies, requirement gathering, solution definition and business analysis on the project scope
Act as an interface between business stakeholder, internal teams, third party vendors, development team and production teams
Provide regular updates to project sponsors and business stakeholders, organize project steering meetings and issues meeting minutes
Collaborate and follow up with development teams regionally/globally to establish IT Solutions and ensure timely delivery of the IT Solution
Develop good communication channel and good working relationship with Central teams in Europe and offshore and ability to influence global teams to deliver APAC specific requirements.
Pre-empt and escalate any risks/issues to management/steering committees in a timely manner
Provide tactical solution to business in case of tight timelines and collaborate with different stake holders to provide strategic solution
Provide trainings to Business Users and Production (APS) team before the functional project go-live and prepare support document on the wiki/SharePoint.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
10-12 years of work experience within the financial services industry and/or regulatory reporting focus
Strong understanding of Capital Market deal flow from pricing to booking, risk management and back office
Strong hands-on business knowledge on Corporate and Investment banking middle office, Back Office Trade Processing, Settlement & Accounting Chains – FX, Rates, Structured Deposits, Fixed income products, Equities, Equity derivatives is a MUST.
Strong analytical skills with hands on technical knowledge in programming and data analysis and prior IT implementation experience with large investment banks is a MUST.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Macro is a good to have
Strong understanding of the front to back booking chain on Booking, Validation, Confirmation, Settlements, Accounting, Reconciliations, PNL and Risk calculations is preferred
Strong Project Management skillset and expertise in delivering large transformation programs
Ability to manage change and complexity with confidence and is a Strong team player
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft office (MS Word, Excel & Power point)
Specific Qualification
Excellent Problem solving skills
Experience in banking environment and good understanding on banking IT ecosystems
Good Communication skills in English and ability to conduct meetings and presentation in client, business and management facing situations
Strong analytical skills with ability to clearly specify topics, understand their priority and criticality and accordingly escalate
