About the Job
- The Information Technology (IT) Business Analyst will work on this new product focused on the evolution of third-party data ecosystems, aiming to streamline the integration of new data and technologies (such as data virtualization, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), etc.) and enhance the accessibility and real-time availability of data across systems
- This Business Analyst acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring business needs are accurately captured, analyzed, and translated into clear functional requirements. The role involves gathering information from multiple sources, understanding business processes and data requirements, and supporting the implementation of solutions. The Business Analyst works closely with developers to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, validate solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Additionally, the role plays a key part in testing activities by preparing test scenarios and test cases, coordinating and supporting Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), managing defect tracking, and assisting end users throughout the validation process to ensure successful deployment and adoption of the solution
- The global aim of the project is to ensure high data quality and consistency across various REFERENTIALS data sources, reducing discrepancies in reporting and closing figures. This will be achieved by performing a deep analysis of existing data and sources and transforming the processes and technologies used, including the existing REFERENTIALS. The goal is to streamline workflows, improving time-to-market and enabling faster, more accurate insights for better decision-making
- The Business Analyst will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of a requirement, from initial specification to final delivery for the end user
- Working primarily in an Agile environment, the Business Analyst will drive iterations, manage backlogs, and ensure that software meets both technical and business standards through rigorous testing
- The Business Analyst will act as the critical bridge between business units (such as Sales, Marketing, and Finance) and IT/Development teams, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications
Your Main Activities Are
- Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed Business Requirements. Translate high-level needs into functional and technical specifications, including User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Process Maps
- Analyze current ("As-Is") business processes and design improved, efficient future-state ("To-Be") workflows. Identify bottlenecks, gaps, and opportunities for automation or digital transformation using modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, UML)
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with Product Owners, making critical decisions on feature essentiality against the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to ensure incremental value delivery
- Own the requirement from inception through to the design phasing process, ensuring requirements are accurately translated into technical designs and managing the transition through the project lifecycle
- Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams. Manage stakeholder expectations regarding project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and present project updates and proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Own the end-to-end testing process. This includes defining test strategies, writing complex Integration System Testing (IST) scenarios for data flows, performing regression testing, and managing the defect lifecycle within Asset Liability Management (ALM) Octane to ensure full traceability
- Lead UAT by defining test scenarios and guiding business users through the validation process to ensure successful deployment and adoption
- Utilize data analysis to validate business assumptions, monitor data quality, and create reports/dashboards to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the success of implemented solutions
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Management
- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or a similar role
- Professional experience in Referential administration (data management, database)
- Deep expertise in Agile frameworks, including sprint management, backlog refinement, and MVP prioritization
- Advanced knowledge of IST (Integration), UAT, and regression testing
- Proficiency in ALM Octane (for testing and traceability), Jira (for task and backlog management), and documentation tools like Confluence
- Proficiency in eliciting requirements, writing User Stories/Acceptance Criteria, and process modeling
- Knowledge of applications architecture and system interfaces
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Rigor and Attention to detail
- Able to make quick, informed decisions when timelines are tight
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, embracing iterative feedback
- Capable of translating complex technical constraints into business language and lead productive group discussions

- Information Technology Transversal & Functions (ITTF) is a new IT framework encompassing the Projects & Systems of the Finance and RISK functions, with a strong focus on efficiency, proximity, agility, and time-to-market. ITTF is a new worldwide organizational model that will contribute to tackling the major challenges of the Group’s transformation, both today and tomorrow, building the best offering for the Finance and Risk community through a progressive rotation to new technologies and best practices. The ITTF organization is the outcome of several convergences: between the Project & Systems teams of Group Finance, Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), Finance, and RISK, and their related IT teams
- IT Transversal & Functions is part of the Information Technology Group (ITG) organization, with threefold sponsorship by ITG, Finance, and RISK
- One of the products of this project is “UMD” (UNIQUE ID, MATCHING & DATA COLLECTION) that has the objective and ambition to build and deploy a matching solution live having as a target matching as a service capability with unique identification to all third parties publishing through the Businesses and locations (facilitating cross-selling, making Group-level reports reliable) and new data collection application delivered
