This role is responsible for the development and enhancement of web, middle layer services, APIs, DevOps automation, pipeline development, authentication integration, authorization integration and reporting applications owned by the department.
The responsibilities of the role include:

Responsibilities
Understand requirements and design solutions
• Work directly with business/technical analysts and/or the business end-users to ensure that requirements are understood
• Work with technical peers to identify and design appropriate and effective solutions to meet requirements
• Where applicable, document designs and solutions for changes required using the appropriate document repository (depending on the complexity of the application)
• Work with business analysts, developers and project managers to provide realistic and accurate estimates for tasks and projects
• Ensure that operational monitoring, housekeeping/maintenance and DR solutions are considered as part of all changes
Coding and testing of solutions
• Coding of required changes, respecting development standards and the project methodology
• Conducting and participating in peer code reviews
• Appropriate Unit testing
• Support System, Integration and User Acceptance Testing
Deployment and handover
• Ensure that solutions designed and delivered can be operated and maintained
• Prepare solutions for deployment and document the deployment and change process
• Make sure that all releases are correctly managed in the source code repository before and after deployment to production
• Ensure that solutions are handed over effectively to the support teams (Service Delivery)
• Support hypercare, deployment windows and provide third level production support
Technical and Behavioral Competencies required
Required:
• At least 10 years software development experience
• At least 10 years experience in .NET (C#, ASP.NET)
• At least 5 years experience in Angular
• At least 3 years experience in SQL Server, SSRS
• At least 3 years experience in CICD, pipelines, integration and automation in Azure Devops
• Experience with web application hosting – administration, design and configuration
• Experience integrating and implementing standard SSO patterns
• Extensive experience in MS SQL development
• Proven experience using a design methodology
• Excellent communication and self-management skills
• Direct experience of mentorship, leadership and oversight
• Data encryption and sensitivity experience
• Firewall setup and configuration experience
• Strong delivery focus, skills and experience
• The ability to own and solve technical problems
• A proactive self-starter
• Enthusiastic team player
• Experience and desire to work in a collaborative team environment
Preferable:
• Degree qualification in IT or related discipline Software development experience in the Financial services industry
• Exposure to the Financial and/or Funds Management industry
• Experience using the Waterfall & Agile methodology
In addition the Team Leader will be required to:
• Organise and lead regular team meetings
• Attend regular team meeting of the team leads with the Development Manager
• Provide guidance and support for other members of the team
• Where required oversee the work of other team members
• Provide estimates when required
