Transaction Banking is a business line of Global banking that provides Cash Management, transactional FX, deposits, trade financing & supply chain solutions services.

You will join BNP Paribas through a 12-month graduate rotational programme in UK across two of the following teams. 

  • Cash Management (include FX / Liquidity Management).
  • Global Trade Solutions. – Providing trade finance, trade products and working capital (SCM) solutions to BNP Paribas corporate clients. It includes Global Trade Services and Advisory enabling clients to optimise, secure and finance international transactions worldwide.

At the end of this programme, you will join back the BNP Paribas KSA office to further continue your career in Transaction Banking activity in KSA.

What will your first 12 months look like?

Your journey will start with a specific induction programme in the UK covering both technical and on soft skills. 

Then, for your first rotation, you will be joining the Global Trade Solutions teams in UK. You will have the opportunity to be involved in every step, from marketing to execution, and help prepare the required presentation materials for client pitches and transaction execution.

After 5 months, you will discover the Cash Management activity and start your second assignment. As a Graduate, you will be accountable for providing support to more senior team members on routine marketing, executing, and regulation activities in relation to transactions within their respective business area.

Throughout the Graduate Programme you will continue to benefit from an adapted development program.

And then what is next?

After the 1-year assignment with the two rotations in UK, you will be assigned to your target role, a permanent position, within the Transaction Banking teams in the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia.

What will be your main roles and responsibilities during the programme?

General:

  1. Supports more senior team members within the relevant Transactional Banking function as instructed in relation to routine marketing, executing, and regulation activities.
  2. Applies basic knowledge of standardised rules, procedures, and operations within relevant area within Transactional Banking to all tasks and is accountable for assisting to ensure that all marketing and execution materials and processes meet standards of quality and reliability. 
  3. Builds internal working relationships with Transactional Banking & Global Banking colleagues and more senior team members to increase knowledge of the Transactional Banking function and its role in supporting and delivering to clients.

Specific to Cash Management:

  1. Exposure to wide range of asset types, products, and clients.
  2. Prepare pitch books, presentations, and memorandums.
  3. Assist in the origination and execution of transactions of equity, term loan, high yield, and mandates.
  4. Conduct financial and credit analysis by developing quantitative models.
  5. Prepare market updates for clients and build monitoring tools.
  6. Undertake legal, technical, and other due diligence on assets.
  7. Prepare credit committee memorandums and present findings to committee.
  8. Assist in the review of legal documentation and draft term sheets.
  9. Prepare syndication presentations, manage data flow, and field investor queries.
  10. Engage with other teams of the Bank.

Specific to Global Trade Solutions:

  1. Exposure to a wide range of coverage, clients, and projects.
  2. Exposure to the full range of GTS business and product offering.
  3. Develop a knowledge of legal documentation and analyse its strength and appropriateness.
  4. Develop knowledge of major regulatory risks associated with Trade Products (Financial crime, Sanctions etc.).
  5. Portfolio Management. Assist team in transaction analysis, profitability, risk monitoring and client action plans.
  6. Assist in the origination and execution of transactions and client meetings.
  7. Prepare pitch books, presentations, and memorandums.
  8. Provide input and prepare GTS Credit support Notes and work with Coverage the Credit Analysis team to ensure the delivery of papers, in a timely manner.
  9. Training.

Competencies, Experiences ad Skills

You should be a Saudi national with outstanding academic records (University GPA not less than 3.75 out of 5 or 2.75 of 4 or equivalent). Your knowledge in finance and your analytical skills should be demonstrated. You will also be expected to have a strong team spirit and ability to work autonomously or under the close supervision of others.

To succeed, you should be able to navigate a highly demanding environment and to deliver your work within the requested quality/deadlines. 

Requirements

  • Saudi Nationals* who graduated in 2024 / 2025. *Due to Mandatory Regulatory Requirements
  • Less than 2 years working experience.
  • Typically requires a university degree with an excellent academic record as an indicator of an ability to understand and apply complex theoretical concepts (University GPA not less than 3.75 out of 5 or 2.75 of 4 or equivalent).
  • Good understanding of Financial Markets.
  • Fluent in English a minimum of 6 IELTS score or 60 in TOEFL (IBT) or 513 IN TOEFL (PBT), excluding the graduates of accredited universities in English speaking countries.  
  • An analytical and problem-solving mindset and ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic self-starter.
  • A developing knowledge of BNP Paribas, the industry, and its products / services, with a demonstrable capacity and willingness to develop market awareness autonomously and to learn and improve performance. An interest in finance and economic affairs.
  • A strong personal focus on accuracy and attention to details and able to prioritise workload based on shifting business needs.
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure.
  • Good written and oral language skills. 
  • Skilled in the use of a range of standard computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, PowerPoint, Word and Excel) and capacity to learn the use of banking related applications
