Business Area
Securities Services is a leading global custodian and securities services specialist that provides multi-asset post-trade and asset servicing solutions for buy and sell-side market participants, corporates and issuers.
Reporting to the Head of Custody Product – UK & Middle East, the role will provide support for pricing new deals, as well as supporting the team developing and maintaining product documentation. In addition, the candidate will spend a portion of their time supporting the Global Head of Pricing, working on global deals and providing the opportunity to share learnings and best practices between the teams.
The team is part of the Financial Intermediaries & Corporate Client Line of the Securities Services Business Line. The Client Line’s responsibilities span from product initiatives, to Profit & Loss management and strategy. Key target clients are banks, brokers and corporates.
Job Purpose
The first objective of the role is to learn, understand and develop key skills required to support key team’s activities. Once training has been provided and key skills have been learned, there will be potential for the Trainee to provide practical support and assistance across many of the teams tasks including:
- Pricing new client deals and reprices, including preparation of client fee schedules
- Support the preparation of product documentation, including Service Level Description/ Agreement updates
- Support the preparation of internal communications and training materials
- Coordinate meetings and support in the team’s organization
Core accountabilities of role
The core accountabilities of the role will evolve as experience grows. Training will be provided for all tasks and it is anticipated that the trainee will take responsibility for part of the task, with full support from the team. Gradually the trainee will begin to take full ownership of some tasks.
- Perform product pricing, preparing costs and revenue forecasts
- Create the fee proposal documentation.
- Preparation of internal communication and training material on the products supported.
- Meeting coordination and support in the team’s organisation:
- Organising meetings with the relevant stakeholders, taking minutes from the respective meetings, organising the agenda for the meetings and facilitating the meeting where applicable.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
- Effective Communicator with internal stakeholders
- Driven and self-motivated
- Adaptability to changing priorities
- Versatility to work across a number of topics & to work with different stakeholders across the bank
- Structured approach to achieve results within expected timeframe
- Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel and Powerpoint. Should be comfortable with excel capabilities such as pivot tables, formulas etc.
- The ability to work as part of a team to fulfil the collective purpose of the team and the specific responsibilities of this role as listed above
