The Finance & Risk IT Team is responsible for the implementation of third party and in-house developed reporting solutions for the Liquidity, Finance, and Risk sponsors. Their scope of responsibilities includes the interaction with multiple stakeholders, project management, business analysis, technical support, and development of IT solutions in line with best practices established by CIB and the BNP Paribas group.

The position at a glance

Fresh Shared Ecosystem team is looking for a Java – Full Stack Web Developer and DB developer/expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have a robust background in Java development, coupled with proficiency in front-end technologies, experience working with databases, and various development tools. In addition, the developer should have the knowledge and expertise in working with various teams.

In detail

Mission

  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure correct analysis, interpretation and implementation of specifications, and further contribute to the technical requirement writing.
  • Design and develop to specifications, requirements and bug-fixing around web components (Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Material, SQL) and DevOps. 
  • Implement the full database solution, insuring the excellent performance, and compatibility with the implemented solution.
  • Participate in the testing phases (unit tests, system tests, system integration tests, functional tests, user acceptance tests, regression tests ets) as required while coordinating with BA, and QA teams 
  • Adhere to the corporation policy of implementing standards such as, but not limited to, authentication mechanism (SSO), maker-check for validation process, and 4 eyes principle.
  • Manage technical queries, issues and resolve defects, obsolesces and system vulnerabilities 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement front-end components using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
  • Develop all required database components (tables and views DDL’s, Packages, Functions, procedures, etc.) 
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams and utilize tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Sonar, Fortify, NexusIQ, and others.
  • Deploy and manage applications on Apache, Tomcat servers, or WebLogic.

  • Preferred Qualifications
    1. Minimum 5 years of experience in full stack web development.
    2. Proficiency in Java, the Spring Framework (Spring Boot), Maven, Eclipse, JSP and JavaScript
    3. Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript.
    4. Solid understanding of HTML5 and CSS.
    5. Experience with REST API development.
    6. Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of the English is required.
