Business Overview     

Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC) is a global coverage group specialising in the Financial Institutions sector.

Overall Job Purpose

Assisting and supporting FIC bankers in their efforts to promote all of the bank’s product lines, both domestically and globally, a full range of investment banking services, complex bespoke solutions, specialist strategic advice and a comprehensive range of standard commercial bank products.

Key Responsibilities

Working with FIC team, you'll be responsible for supporting all activities of the team in relation to clients, potential business opportunities business lines. Including:

• Assisting with onboarding / setting up clients:

- Internal client management and support on FIC business evolution

- Interaction and support on relevant “know your client” (KYCs), due diligence and other compliance requirements. Follow up on the whole recertification KYC process for all the FIC Iberian portfolio. Coordination with due diligence and compliance teams.

- Following up until completion.

• Contribute to client reviews preparation for credit committees.

• Senior executive internal briefing notes and presentations.

• Responsible for monitoring industry developments that might result in a change of client dynamics:

- Identify issues and opportunities that clients may face from implementation of regulatory and other changes and directives.

- Be alert for opportunities to apply product specific solutions to other part of the client base. 

• Working with the bankers and business lines when appropriate:

- Build detailed understanding of investment banking and non-investment banking products relevant to Financial Institutions.

- Being able to prepare marketing materials with product content. 

- Working closely with internal business lines and support desks in order to maintain a reciprocal flow of information and ideas as well as establishing opportunity for continuous swift execution.

Technical Competencies

• Recently graduated from a top university with a focus on business administration or similar.

• Knowledge of banking and insurance regulation would be a plus.

• Understanding of products offered by an investment bank.

• Basic knowledge of accounting and financials of financial institutions (e.g. banks and insurance companies).

• Good numerical and analytical skills .

• Basic modelling skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Fluency in English.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

• Highly motivated and pro-active individual wanting to be part of FIC and to help grow the already-strong franchise.
