Position Purpose

The Referential Clerk will assist duties within Client Engagement & Financial Security on activities pertaining to authorized signatures maintenance, account opening, amendment and closure in the system. Client Referential Team engages with all level of management in ensuring data integrity without compromising on controls across different business lines and products.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Work independently in performing checks as part of the due diligence process for system update in accordance with bank policy for clients records.
  • Ensure that all clients’ documentary evidence is properly stored as detailed in the KYC due diligence policy. 
  • Participate in reviewing and monitoring of system databases analysis and respond to exceptions with workable solutions.
  • Contribute to process improvements while abiding to control on day-to-day process.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with internal stakeholder at all levels. 
  • Validate and ensure client details and documents are accurate in various internal/external systems. 
  • Support in other ad-hoc activities as required.

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Contribute to quality Client referential information database build-up and maintenance
  • University graduate, preferably with at least 3 years relevant work experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to produce accurate and quality work under tight deadlines and minimal supervision.
  • Good understanding of Corporate & Institutional Banking and Global Markets framework under International Financial Groups.
  • Good understanding of account .
  • Working knowledge in relation to Corporate Banking products [e.g. Cash/Deposit, Loan Syndication/Agency, Trade Finance, ECM/DCM, etc] and/or Global Markets products [e.g. Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Commodities Index Trading (CIT), CIT Metals, CIT Repo, and Commodities Futures Trading].
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Candidates with strong potential but less than 2 years relevant work experience can be considered.
