What is this position about?  

The Project Management team within Banking Services Operations (BSO) is responsible for managing the significant change agenda impacting the custody world, including market driven change, regulatory change, client change requests, internal platform upgrades/migrations and internal process/control enhancements.

   

 The team works closely with onshore and offshore operational teams, account management teams, client service management teams, Product and local/global IT teams as well as clients, market participants and regulatory bodies (eg ASX, AusPayNet, AUSTRAC, ACSA etc). The primary focus for this role will be supporting our preparation for the ASX CHESS replacement project. 

   

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate accountability, attention to detail and strong problem solving capability. They must be comfortable managing priorities to ensure to ensure successful delivery and handover to BAU.

    

Key Responsibilities

 -  Work closely with the Senior Project Manager, supporting successful delivery of the ASX CHESS replacement project 

 -  Document the as-is and to-be business processes 

 -  Deliver comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs), engaging with internal and external SMEs to establish a common understanding of the business needs, gaining validation from stakeholders 

 -  Managing all changes to requirements through a formally defined scope change process 

 -  Consult and input into test strategy, planning and execution by collaborating with the test teams and the wider business stakeholders, including securing test environments 

 -  Develop best practices for BA input into testing, building a repeatable test case library  

 What is required for you to succeed?  

    

  * 2 years+ experience within the custody industry, with solid knowledge of operations within domestic markets
  * Technical knowledge of a custodian’s role in Australian equities markets
  * Familiarity with ASX CHESS platform, CHESS proprietary messages and ISO messages 
  * Practical experience as a business analyst  
  * Ability to demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  * Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and all Microsoft Office tools, preferably including Project and Visio
