Job Title: Assistant Manager

Department: Real Asset – Alt Credit

About Business line/Function: The Real Asset team will focus on Securitized & Structured Assets (SSA) Portfolio Management Support; Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) - Portfolio Data Analytics; Corporate Credit (CC) - Leverage Loan Fund Reporting; Credit (CC) – Leverage Loan Database Management; specifically in support of Structured Finance functions.

The Secured Finance CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation) team takes information to create monthly dashboards and a SCOPE list for activities. They also perform relevant tasks related to individual deals and update status in the relevant cells of a process dashboard. 

Position Purpose: The successful candidate will be an experienced manager driving process improvements with a collaborative management style and ability to create a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Management: Monthly retrieval of critical CDO documents (NVRs, Trustee Reports, Offering Memorandums) from trustee websites and emails.
  • Database Administration: Uploading and managing collateral, account, and test files into the PHOBOS database while ensuring high data integrity.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Validating Bloomberg-sourced coupon and amortization data against Note Valuation Reports, with a specific focus on correcting Equity Tranche payments.
  • Valuation Oversight: Managing daily price collections from official/non-official providers and maintaining an audit trail for Risk & Compliance.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Tracking called/redeemed CDOs to ensure final residual payments are captured before closing positions.
  • Monthly Reporting: Generating "Blotter" reports to track fund movements (Purchases, Sales, Amortizations) using Excel pivot tables and control checks.
  • Pre-Trade Analysis: Conducting primary market due diligence by gathering Intex data and updating guideline templates for new CLO investments.
  • Performance Analytics: Measuring CLO Manager trading capabilities by analyzing initial vs. final portfolios and calculating added value via Intex.
  • Lifecycle Management: Handling instrument creation for new CLO deals and managing "Reset & Refinance" tracking.
  • Stakeholder Support: Serving as a point of contact for Trustees, PM Assistants, and Auditors to resolve data discrepancies and provide evidence for pricing.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Oversight and accountability for day-to-day processing of the team, ensuring excellent client service and risk management
  • Compliance with local and global regulations and market standards
  • Ensure adherence to internal risk and control frameworks, participating in internal/external audits and various internal control testing
  • Developing team members and creating an environment that encourages innovation and supports personal growth for team members 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Compilation of monthly statistics to manage the business, ensuring KPIs are met or remediation plans are in place
  • Ensure any deviation from our standard operating models are formally agreed internally and documented with the onshore oversight location

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • A previous experience in a similar role is mandatory
  • Strong understanding of Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), CDO structures, and lifecycle of secured finance instruments
  • Proficiency with applications - Bloomberg, INTEX

Specific Qualifications:

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to perform control checks, investigate discrepancies and escalate appropriately
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, VBA) and strong data-management experience
  • Ability to liaise with multiple internal and external parties
  • Strong organisational and attention-to-detail orientation; capable of managing competing deadlines
  • Ability to investigate data gaps independently and escalate issues only after thorough investigation

Education Level: 

  • Degree qualified in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline is preferable.
  • Having market related qualifications such as CPA, CFA qualifications
