Michel Pébereau Named Financier and Strategist of the Year 2001

  • 28.01.2002
The Chairman of BNP Paribas has been named Strategist of the Year 2001 by the business daily La Tribune. This honor is given to the head of the French company whose strategy has produced the best performance during the year. It will be awarded in 29 January by Jacques Delors, former Chairman of the European Commission.

Mr. Pébereau had already been named Financier of the Year 2001 by ANDESE, the national association of doctors of economics, which honors the person who has done the most during the year to contribute to the growth of financial activity in France. He is officially receiving this prize today from Laurent Fabius, France's Minister of the Economy and Finance.
Both of these honors largely reflect public opinion: La Tribune's readers for the strategy award, and ANDESE's members for the financier prize.
