About the job

  • The Compliance Function is an independent and integrated function of BNP Paribas Group. The overall mission of Compliance is, through second level control, to give reasonable assurance to senior management, that compliance, regulatory and reputational risks are monitored, controlled and mitigated as relevant
  • Reporting to the Head of Professional Ethics (PE) within Compliance Territory Portugal

Your Main Activities Are

  • Advise and provide support on PE domain through a critical analysis of the applicable Group/Local policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of internal controls for efficient PE oversight
  • Support the Control team by providing the relevant information for the execution of the Generic Control Plans within the PE domain
  • Contribute to audit missions on PE by providing the relevant information
  • Coordinate the assessment of nearshoring initiatives and, when competent, provide a compliance opinion
  • Contribute to the development of the PE Compliance framework within Territory Compliance Portugal
  • Establish good and clear communication with key stakeholders inside / outside Compliance
  • Promote a strong Compliance culture and awareness of the applicable PE Compliance procedures

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law / Economics or related
  • Advanced level of English, both written and oral
  • Knowledge in MS Office Pack
  • Autonomy
  • Ability to understand a legal / regulatory text
  • Analytical ability
  • Communication skills, both written and oral
  • Organisational skills
