I& AFS business line deals with clearing & custody, Global middle office and Fund accounting. The business teams are available all over globe. The GMO application HiPort is a vendor application and its managed internally by IT team. The HiPort in I&AFS is mainly used for Middle office position keeping & Reporting the position.

Position Purpose
Role: Technical Lead (Unix Shell Scripting and Solaris OS Administration)
- Experience Range: 6-8 Years
- Handle application releases and deployment of patches for a vendor application (Hiport) installed on Solaris OS
- Provides Technical support to BA's, Testers, and production support teams.
- Handles Filesystem management/Application refreshes on Solaris 11 OS
- Provides Technical Solutions to business requirements.
- Development and maintenance of Unix shell scripts to support the business requirements and Application releases.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities:
- Full Technical management of non-prod environments, (user management/Applying patches/configuration changes)
- Provide Technical support for Business Analysts/Testing team during application release/upgrades/projects.
- Automate business requirements using Unix shell scripting/Perl/python/CGI.
- Maintain and support application code (shell scripts) and/or its subsystem’s.
- Detects, diagnoses, and reports related problems.
- Analyses and resolves issues raised during release/upgrade testing.
- Create and maintains complete documentation relative to the support of the technical activities carried out.
- Write and manage simple to intermediate SQL queries to support the business requirements.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Provide L3 Technical support for production teams.
- Train and mentor, the Business analysts on the technical basis.
- Contribution to Continuous Improvement
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Hands on experience on Shell scripting integrated with C++, Python and Perl scripting.
- Knowledge of various Unix and Linux platforms
- Knowledge of Unix platform administration.
- Knowledge of working on Databases Oracle/SQL/Ctree.
- Tools- Jira, ServiceNow, Git, Ansible, Autosys.
- Knowledge of capital Markets/Investment banking domain
- Strong Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
