Position Purpose
The role is within GM IT ECOMF2BC BOOKING Application Support group responsible globally for Functional Support of Applications involved in Various layers of Trade Life Cycle in Global Markets. As this is a functional Support Role , focusing across a range of different applications , candidates must possess the aptitude and desire to learn.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Provide support to different issues raised by Middle Office and Back Office using the product for their cases
Provide RCA for different issues related to regulatory and functional breaches in the application
Provide main coverage in the “Follow The Sun” support model: perform regular checks and handover to other support teams in Hong Kong and Paris.
Pro-actively manage the capacity of production application BAU Tasks raised by different Clients
As this is a production support role, focusing across a range of different technologies, candidates must possess the aptitude and desire to learn.
Actively interact with Dev and BA and Technical teams to improve support quality and application by identifying and notifying about potential bugs in the application
Contributing Responsibilities
•The Production Engineer will work with other teams to respond to incidents and resolve issues promptly, often under pressure, to restore normal services to the business. Therefore, ability to be on call and provide support out of hours is essential in addition to the early/late shifts.
• Provide feedback and propose solutions to management on performance, regulatory and bugs in the application
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
• Knowledge of Capital Markets business and environments is added Desirable IT Skills
• Basic Understanding of Trade Lifecycle in Capital Market
• Databases – exposure to or skills in Oracle DB
• System administration – Exposure to windows/Linux servers is added advantage.
