The ARAMCHEK team provides data services for CIB. The team is responsible for design, deploy, maintenance and support of data platforms mainly with Elasticsearch stack and Kafka, manages data quality, standardization and data treatment, as well as provides services on custom requests (dashboarding/analytics/data pipelines).
Key Responsibilities
The Production Data Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplined team defining and building data solutions working closely with the extended global team. The Production Data Engineer will work closely with a wide variety of teams to provide the following for the ARAMCHEK platform:
Troubleshoot production issues following a ‘Follow The Sun principle’ [APAC/EMEA/NAR] support model
Monitoring and proactive support including morning checks, etc
Application maintenance and upgrades
Propose and carry out initiatives to improve efficiency, e.g. automation of BAU tasks
When appropriate, suggest improvements and provide guidance and support to the IT Security team to help them improve their monitoring & analytics capabilities
Produce and report data reports/dynamic data reports when required by the client

What we expect from you
As this is a production support role, focusing across a range of different and technologies, candidates must possess the aptitude and strong desire to learn and adapt when required.
The Production Data Engineer will also be required to work with other teams to respond to production incidents and resolve issues promptly, often under pressure, to restore normal services to the business. Therefore, the ability to be on call and provide support out of hours may be required.
Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)
Role Specific Technical Skills
Production experience across the following technologies:
Good working knowledge of Elastic stack (Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana) including data ingestion, management, monitoring & analytics. Able to perform L2/3 ELK related tasks
Good working knowledge of Linux (RedHat/Ubuntu)
Experience with Kafka is a plus
Programming skills (Python or Ruby or Java) is a plus
Experienced production support engineer or similar experience working in production environment.
Experience & skills in automation tools (e.g. Ansible) & DevOps pipelines are appreciated

Specific Qualifications Required
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience of IT Production and/or BigData. The candidate must be experienced in providing multi-disciplined technical support as part of a team and have practical knowledge of performance and capacity management from a BigData perspective as well as strong aptitude for automation.
