We are looking for a Performance Testing Engineer to join our growing team and be part of a large-scale project.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand performance requirements and objectives in order identify the strategy and approach to be used for the performance testing process.
- Define and create the performance test plans.
- Analyze changes/ business requirements and assess potential performance impact and level of performance testing needed.
- Utilize LoadRunner Enterprise to design and execute performance test scripts using JS and scenarios, simulate user interactions and assess system behavior under load.
- Design and develop performance test scenarios, scripts, and workload models to simulate user interactions and system behavior.
- Execute performance tests, monitor system resources, and collect performance metrics to assess system behavior under load.
- Analyze performance test data collected from the load test, focusing on response times, throughput, resource utilization, server metrics and error rates to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Provide recommendations for optimization and scalability improvements based on load test findings.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize application performance through configuration tuning and code optimizations.
- Automate performance test scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines for regular performance monitoring.
- Generate comprehensive performance test reports summarizing test findings, including performance metrics, bottlenecks, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
What we are looking for:
- Extensive experience in performance testing roles, with a focus on complex and large-scale applications
- Test creation, scheduling, monitoring and analysis capabilities.
- Strong proficiency in working with performance testing tools: LoadRunner(preferably)
- Sound understanding of performance testing methodologies and testing lifecycle including behavior-driven testing and data-driven testing.
- System architecture understanding - understanding of the programming languages, tools and frameworks that create a product. The analysis of hardware architecture and network layer is crucial.
- Web / mobile / API / webservices technologies awareness - assess the performance of the applications while they understand how to interact and collect data from them.
- User behavior understanding - understanding user and scenarios thoroughly by approaching and learning about business users, like product owners and marketing professionals.
- Experience in scripting with various protocols and customizing scripts for specific scenarios to achieve project goals.
- Knowledge of parametrization and correlation techniques for dynamic parameters.
- Skilled in creating detailed performance reports that highlight key findings, test metrics, server metrics, and suggest improvements based on findings.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex performance findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on performance improvement goals.
- Problem-solving - thoroughly analyzing the bottlenecks, locating the issues and alerting the responsible team about the faults.
- Knowledge of test automation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
