Position Purpose
The business analyst will be a part of the ISPL Mumbai – OFSAA (Oracle financial Analytical Application) projects team and will primarily work on Regulatory / Financial Reporting / Credit Risk reporting Projects.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
The Business Analyst has broad-based responsibilities for the functional design, specification, and deployment of Finance Systems initiatives at both a Legal Entity and IHC level. This includes:
· Elicit, analyze, and document Business/Functional requirements and procedure documents.
· Undertake data assessment, data gap analysis and remediation.
· Develop functional specification requirements for IT development and to ensure user requirements are met.
· Plan, test and document UAT/System/Integration testing up to successful delivery of project.
· Change & Release Management.
· Prepare meeting material for regular Management meetings and present the same.
· Managing the data load for testing the data in each release.
· Co-ordinate with the stakeholders on sign off and approval of User/Business requirement, Test cases and Test results.
· Update the Jira Tracker as the new change requests are created.
· Update the Test cases, Test Evidences in HP ALM during the testing phase.
· Liaise with cross functional teams, business groups, IT and PMO organizations in New York, New Jersey, California, Montreal, Mumbai, London and Paris.
· Ensure on-time quality delivery of projects and activities assigned.
· Contribute to the design and implementation of processes that aim to improve the Finance Systems framework.
· SQL knowledge will be added advantage.

· Ability to source, transform and analyze large data sets.
· Experience in reconciliations and tracing data elements through transformation processes is critical.
· Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, manage short term, and permanent fixes
· Record experiences and develop operating procedures.
Business Analytical skills
· Eliciting user requirements and transforming them to functional specifications/Change requirements.
· Preparing business test cases.
· Liaising with development team on the production queries & enhancements.
· Managing testing and deployment.
· Experience with software development life cycle & implementation
· Develop processes combining applications & people interactions
Technical Skills
· Ability to work with large data sets in MS Excel and corresponding tools and formulae like pivots, lookups etc.
· Understand database concepts – tables, master & referential data, building primary keys etc
· SQL Skills required.
· Knowledge/experience of: Oracle applications (OFSAA, OBIEE) will be added advantage
