About this opportunity
This role is as Legal Trainee within the Norwegian Legal Department, headed by the Head of CIB Legal Norway and located on Aker Brygge in Oslo.
The Norwegian legal team provides legal advice to the various business lines within CIB in Norway. The team also assists BNP Paribas business globally with transactions and legal issues relating to the Norwegian markets. Consequently, this role will be working closely with the Nordic legal team as well as colleagues in BNP Paribas offices across the globe.
What you will do
This role will be assisting the Norwegian legal team in their daily work, including amongst other things:
- Regulatory Watch – keeping the team informed and aware of new/changed regulation;
- Assisting with review/drafting of legal documentation; and
- Assisting with answering of general legal questions both from local business and from the rest of the BNPP Group
Relevant experience and requirements
- Be at least in your third year of law school;
- Have an already established interest for financial markets/banking/corporate law;
- Be fluent in Norwegian and English; and
- Have an open mind, take responsibility for assignments and be able and willing to work independently.
Working hours
40%. Flexible around winter/summer holidays and exams.
