IT Delivery Manager

As a part of the Banker Solutions Cluster, within the Banking IT department, you will be working on a range of different IT and digital oriented projects for our bankers, your aim will be to identify, understand and analyze their business needs.

The position will give you the unique opportunity to contribute to our business transformation Program and to work closely with the Banker Solutions Cluster Product team, the business and the development team, to ensure the end delivery provides organisational value.

Responsibilities:

  • Team effectiveness:
    1. Articulate the vision for the team relentlessly driving it to completion;
    2. Demonstrate thought & action alignment & propose improvements;
    3. Support the delivery of business solutions within agreed timeframes, quality and budget;
    4. Ensure quality and efficiency as per clients expectations and further endeavour to enhance the quality of delivery;
    5. Actively collaborate within & across functions to understand implications on supervised team.
  • Team/People Management:
    1. Guide, motivate supervised team and be seen as a Leader leading by example; 
    2. Ensure the vision of the Business is well understood by the team at all levels; 
    3. Foster an environment that encourages teamwork, open-mindedness, creativity, agility, innovation and a can-do attitude.
  • Control and Reporting: 
    1. Guarantee reliable reporting with alerts and recommendations to top-management;
    2. Provide decision and advisory support to all relevant stakeholders;
    3. Consolidate all the indicators necessary to monitor the scope of the projects;
    4. Institute controls & monitor costs & efforts across the scope;
    5. Participate in building of a mechanism of tracking and updating the global tools & reporting of costs & man-days ;
    6. Contribute to steering;
    7. Support monitoring the budget for applications in scope, analyse value and risk driving relevant actions.

Requirements:

  • IT University degree;
  • At least 8 years of experience leading significant technology development organizations with the success in building high-performing teams using technology as a competitive enabler;
  • Experience working in an international environment with teams/partners located in different countries;
  • Deep understanding of business drivers and technology supporting it;
  • Demonstrated experience in technology strategic planning, organization design and development;
  • Experience in leading transformational initiatives by taking advantages of digital opportunities to innovate and reduce the technology debt;
  • An excellent record of successful client-oriented project delivery;
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills across borders and cultures;
  • Experience with significant budget oversight and cost optimization;
  • Ability to inspire and lead by example;
  • Proven record of hiring, developing, upgrading and deploying top talent at all levels;
  • Strong team management and development skills, with the ability to coach and mentor a diverse, large and geographically dispersed team at varying levels of experience;
  • Fluency in English.
