Position Purpose
This is a position under Compliance Financial Security domain to provide compliance oversight and control to contribute in money laundering/terrorist financing/sanction risk management of the Bank.
Direct Responsibilities
- Report to Head of Financial Security & KYC Compliance China and serve as Financial Security compliance officer in providing compliance advisory, oversight and support covering all business activities on ML/FT/Sanctions risk management as well as KYC;
- Familiar with and keep abreast of changes in local AML regulatory requirements and Group FS policies/procedures, and disseminate any changed to affected businesses, updating local FS compliance policies/procedures to give compliance advisories;
- Acting as compliance officer in post transaction monitoring process to identify, investigate and report suspicious activity and transaction, and escalate any material risk relevant information to higher-level compliance and senior management of the bank;
- Contributing in local transaction monitoring system construction and fine-tuning to give compliance advice, opinion and request in transaction monitoring rule & model setup, rule & model review, system testing, incident identification and investigation and etc.;
- Contribute in respective IT projects under or involving FS compliance domain for request raising, liaison, testing, incident assessment, etc.;
- Advising all métiers and KYC Operations team on implementation of Group KYC Policies and Segment Policies, particularly in conjunction with the requirements of the China AML regulations and the European Directives;
- Supporting the métiers on assessing and advising on KYC analysis for sensitive clients;
- Acting as local FS compliance to give advice or make compliance judgement in name screening and transaction filtering control process in respect of sanctions violation alert management;
- Contribute and conduct periodic Compliance and Control testing, contribute to ML/TF and sanction risk assessment of the bank;
- Coordinate Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing/Sanctions risk assessment as leading department member.
Contributing Responsibilities
- Coordinating, implementing and enhancing AML/CTF and Sanctions compliance monitoring tools controls/objectives as well as, risk assessments in various current reporting processes, and suggesting enhancements to current reporting mechanisms;
- Assisting in handling internal audit and regulatory/law enforcement agency requests/investigations in the areas of AML/CTF & Sanctions Compliance in China;
- Supporting the AML/CTF and Sanctions training efforts in China, as well as initiatives to enhance the online training programs and promote AML/CTF & Sanctions Compliance awareness and culture;
- Organizing AML/CFT education to clients and public according to local regulatory requirements;
- Contributing local regulatory reporting on AML/CFT and related issues.
