What is this position about?
The Data Scientist should understand the business needs and find the adapted data science approach to propose an appropriate solution.?
- Partner with the functional domains of IG (e.g. CIB Global Banking, Securities Services and Markets Activities, Investment and Protection Services, Information Technology, etc.) to implement Data Analytics use cases
- Propose, design and develop data driven prototype solutions with data-analytic technologies such as Python, PowerBI, and ensure that the code of their models is well documented, ready for production and easily maintained
- Contribute to the Data Analytics (DA) technical platform for IG Hub APAC
- Conduct audit work occasionally to get familiar with the IG methodology and know better the business requirement that needs DA support
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
1. Support audit assignments using Data Analytics techniques to identify outliers/anomalies for further investigation
- Requirements gathering: Gather and understand data analytics requirements and use cases from Audit managers and auditors;
- Ideas & Solutions: Based on the requirements/ already developed use cases, propose, design and develop prototype solutions in an iterative way;
- Systems: Participate in building the Data Analytics technical platform;
- Knowledge transfer: Prepare documentation and ensure knowledge transfers within the Hub, explore opportunities to exchange with IG Transformation Team and other hubs on use case adaptation, development and other digital initiatives;
- Advanced data analysis: Explore advanced data analytic techniques such as predictive data analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, etc.
2. Contribute to the development/smart usage of AI tools by defining, adopting and showcasing new ways of working and maintaining constant dialogue with IG Datalab Team and Data Scientists in other hubs to get new ideas/information
3. Promoting the understanding and usage of AI tools by audit teams in their daily job
What is required for you to succeed?
- Master's degree in business or information systems management, computer science, data science, data analytics or related field.
- Possessing one (or more) of the following skills from each category would be a plus:
Technical skills
- Qualification in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data or Data Science
- Familiar with data visualization tools PowerBI, Tableau
- Knowledge in Finance
- Knowledge in Audit
Functional skills
- Python programming, R and other scripting knowledge, asJFrog Artifactory
- Bitbucket or other version control tool and containerization tools, such as Docker
