The Data Migration Manager is responsible for the maintenance and management of the end-to-end Data Migration Strategies required for a new client onboarding.
The role sits within Client Delivery BNP Paribas Securities Services in Wellington, which provides Fund Administration, Middle Office, Taxation and Regulatory Services, Product and Transitions services to a range of New Zealand clients.
The Data Migration and Analytics Lead is responsible for:
Development, maintenance and management of the end-to-end Data Migration Strategies required for a new client onboarding, including requirement to:
o Understand different methodologies and differences within incumbent and BNPP data
o Define how data will be mapped and internalized for Ops to meet business goals, including management of any known pain points
o Lay out how we can complete the desired data activities to achieve our business / clients’ objectives
o Describe the changes the organization needs to make to maximize the value of its data activities and outlines plans for how we can make those changes including recruitments
o Establish a timeline for completing the proposed activities, define milestones and priorities and describe a strategy for moving forward
This is a client-focused role with a strong practical understanding of technology and operations, working in close collaboration with IT, Product, Local, Regional and Global Business Lines and Operations.
The Data Migration Lead sits within the project team but will work along with the rest of the Data team in Australia ensuring alignment with the BP2S ANZ Data Strategy. They will have a functional relationship to the Head of Data Governance to ensure all change is executed to the standards required.

o Lay out how we can complete the desired data activities to achieve our business / clients objectives
o Describe the changes the organization needs to make to maximize the value of its data activities and outlines plans for how we can make those changes including recruitments
o Establish a timeline for completing the proposed activities, define milestones and priorities and describe a strategy for moving forward
o Contributes and supports the implementation of Global Data Strategies and Data Maps.
o Provides input to the location technical and business strategy discussions.
o Directs and contributes to the development and maintenance of data governance standards, supporting tools and documentation, etc.

What is required for you to succeed?
• Business
o Prior domain experience: Data, Fund Administration, Unit Pricing, Superannuation, Life Insurance – desirable
o Regulatory and taxation experience – desirable
o Custody middle-office, back-office administration experience – desirable
• Technical
o 10+ year experience in data management (operational or project)
o 5+ year experience in financial services - desirable
o Experience with both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies

Specific Qualifications Required
• Degree qualified in IT, Business, or related discipline; and / or relevant work experience in a similar role.
