What is this position about?
The Communications Manager is responsible for planning & implementing communication strategy and priorities, by developing internal and external communication content and programmes to drive brand awareness and client engagement. The role will be the business partner for Securities Services, as well as supporting other business lines when needed.
Working closely with the local, regional Brand and Communications teams, the role brings integrated solutions for the business lines and key stakeholders through leveraging multiple paid and earned media platforms and channels.
The individual will report to the Head of Brand & Communications, Southeast Asia.
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
In this role, you will
• Promote BNP Paribas as the partner of choice for institutional clients in APAC through a content driven client engagement platform.
• Will act as a contact point for BNP Paribas’ Securities Services (CIB2S) communication in APAC
• Develop and drive key messages and thought leadership content across all internal and external channels and client touch points.
• Partner with business stakeholders (especially with CIB2S Marketing team) to gain strategic context in order to devise and execute strategic communications programmes – including awards, speaking opportunities, website, social media, paid and earned media.
• Create thought leadership/content pipeline for clients and the market leveraging key themes, in particular digitalisation and sustainability.
• Create content for pre-event, event, and post event promotion.
• Support media relations pertaining to the business line (CIB2S for this role), working closely with the APAC media relations team to ensure media strategy and execution are aligned with the Bank’s media policy and procedures.
• Work with in-house creative team and external agencies and writers to develop client-centric sales tools, articles, podcasts and videos.
• Devise proactive and innovative communications strategies to promote the business in Asia Pacific and the wider global BNP Paribas community.
• Work closely with front office colleagues to promote the Bank and share success and best practices through multiple internal communications platforms (internal events, Sharepoint, Intranet, newsletters, etc.).
• Work closely with other business line Communications Manager to share ideas and efficiently work as a team
• Fostering strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders to drive collaboration and achieve strategic goals.
Specific Qualifications and Experience Required
• 5+ years of experience in a Communications role, ideally within a financial services organisation
• Understanding of the financial services industry, and custody business as an advantage
• Experience managing stakeholders and working with regional and local teams across a matrix organisation
• Proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with an ability to drive outcomes on a tight budget
• Exceptional attention to detail and client focus
• Strong project management skills, ability to coordinate multiple projects against tight deadlines
• Knowledge of the APAC media landscape or experience can be a plus
• Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint. Prior experience in video filming / editing would be an advantage.
