Position Purpose:
The ideal candidate for this role will serve as an individual contributor [Techno-functional Skillset] for manual testing (primary) and Automation Testing with a focus on Functional Testing and having exposure to Automation (Java/selenium) Script design and execution. They should possess good knowledge and experience in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) process, encompassing test design, and execution. Additionally, they should be adept in capturing evidence in Excel, writing SQL queries, and collaborating with business analyst teams to derive test cases from requirement documents and use cases.
From a technical standpoint, the candidate should have good knowledge in Core Java Programming, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), Java Collections Framework, and Exception Handling. They should also be well-versed in Selenium WebDriver.
As an individual contributor and SPOC, the candidate will be responsible for governing the testing process in accordance with defined guidelines, maintaining thorough test documentation, and ensuring accurate defect reporting.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities:
- Learn Payments & Cash management Domain and gain expertise.
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for Payment & Cash Management applications, with a focus on SWIFT, MT to MX formats, Core Banking Applications, Payment Engines, SEPA, APAC, and India payments.
- Conduct thorough manual testing, including functional regression, and UAT testing, to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Analyze and report defects and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and ensure timely closure.
- Do feasibility study to identify automation scope. Automate using Core Java and Selenium, with a focus on automating repetitive and high-risk test cases.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and execute automated tests to ensure efficient testing and validation.
Contributing Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and BA teams, to identify opportunities for process improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in test planning to ensure that testing is aligned with project goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures, to ensure that testing is efficient, effective, and aligned with industry’s best practices.
- Contributes to the development of automated testing frameworks and tools, to enhance automation capabilities and improve testing efficiency.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

- Basic programming skills in Core Java, and experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, to automate testing and improve testing efficiency.

Specific Qualifications:
- Education Level : Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)/Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/Master of Computer Applications (MCA or related field or bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience Level: 3 to 5 Years of experience.
