Job Title: Associate – Securitized Products Trader
Location: 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019
Duties Responsible for market making securitized products. Successfully optimize balance sheet while balancing revenue generation and risk management. Provide sales and banking with market color, trade ideas, and client axes. Provide the repo desk with valuations on securitized products. Analyze and opine on different types of collateral and structure. Execute trades in timely manner and in compliance with reporting requirements.
SALARY: $150,000 – $175,000/ year
Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Management, Accounting, Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in a job offered or related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with the following: experience in securitized products trading at a Broker-Dealer; trading securitized products such as Asset-backed Securities (ABS), Residential Mortgages, Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLOs), or Commercial Mortgage-backed Securities (CMBS); Financial modeling, fixed income analysis, and valuation; market data tools, Intex, Bloomberg, Excel, and coding languages including VBA and Python; analyzing and recommending portfolio allocations and trade ideas within securitized credit; liaising with hedge funds, money managers, insurance companies and pension funds; and publishing regular trading commentary for internal and external relationships.
