Assistant Third Party Risk Manager

What is this position about?

•    To assist the APAC Head of TPRM (Third-Party Risk Management) on delivering transformation initiatives on Third Party lifecycle  

•    To utilize available technology tools such as Power BI to build a sustainable operational risk processes such as TPRM dashboard, to bring transparency of operational risks to Third Party stakeholders 

•    Act as APAC SME (subject matter expert) for all TPRM transformation initiatives

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like? 

Primary Role Responsibilities

1.    Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Transformation Initiatives 

•    Lead the end-to-end delivery of TPRM transformation initiatives 

•    Identify & remediate areas of improvements on existing production processes 

•    Drive the Change Management for APAC stakeholders on transformation initiatives

•    Perform gap & impact analysis on Group/CIB TPRM initiatives to existing APAC process   

•    To provide visibility & transparency of initiatives in relevant governance forums  

•    Go person on the Third-Party lifecycle processes & associated systems 

•    Build strong working partnership with CIB TPRM Central team

•    Build strong working relationship with APAC LOCs (Local Outsourcing Coordinator) 

2.    Support TPRM Production Team

•    Technical SME (subject matter expert) for the monthly TPRM Dashboard 

•    Automation of Onboarding & Termination manual processes 

•    Automation of Oversight & Control manual processes 

•    To assist & provide support for the Onboarding & Termination team lifecycle deliverables, for e.g.; 

o    Regional Outsourcing Management Committee (LOMC)

o    Local Outsourcing Management Committee (LOMC)

o    On-boarding/Termination due diligence 

o    Registration of outsourcing in the corporate system (Risk 360)

•    To assist & provide support to the Oversight & Control team deliverables lifecycle deliverables, for e.g.;

o    Operational Performance 

o    Annual controls

o    IG Inspections

o    Regulatory inspections  

3.    Support the preparation of Third Party SteerCo/or Regional ICC;

What is required for you to succeed?

Technical Competencies required 

•    Leading Operational Risk transformation initiatives 

•    Sound project management skills   

•    Change Management 

•    Technical expertise in Microsoft (Power BI, SharePoint, Excel Macro, PowerPoint, etc) & basic understanding of SQL 

•    Third-Party lifecycle process 

•    Excellent communication verbally & written in English.

Required education/certification/licenses

•    Bachelor or Master Degree

•    3-5 years of experience in outsourcing management or third party risk management or control function, preferably in financial institutions or consulting firms

•    Risk Management / Internal Controls / TPRM related accreditation would be desirable
