Asset Management - Technology - Senior Software Engineer (17 months fixed terms contract)

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain a range of software applications: C# and Python web APIs, SQL Server databases, User Interfaces
• Participate in the designing process and architecture distributed systems
• Empower Research Teams by building reliable and performant software
• Contribute to the quality of the source code by writing efficient testing
• Leverage Azure Cloud technologies to build scalable tools
• Work efficiently within a team of Software Engineers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in C#, dotnet, Python and Cloud technologies to suggest and implement improvements

Role Requirements 

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Solid problem-solving skills and passion for software development
• Good understanding of algorithms, data structures and computer fundamentals
• Strong background in Object Oriented Programming, software development and testing
• Proficiency in C# and dotnet and python is a plus
• Relational databases (SQL and data modelling)
• Experience with source control using Git
• Familiarity the software development lifecycle with an agile methodology
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas clearly
• Good writing and communication skills
• Open minded, works well with others
• Self-starter, organized, able to self-prioritize, plan and communicate progress
• Interested in Finance and Quantitative Asset Management and strong ethics
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus but not mandatory
