2025 APAC Long Internship (Jul - Dec) – ALM Treasury – Singapore
Position Purpose
ALM Treasury has a unique position within the BNP Paribas, it is a Transversal Activity present throughout the Group in more than 50 countries, with around 600 employees fulfilling 3 operational missions which consist in:
- managing the Group's liquidity position, both in business as usual conditions and in crisis situations
- managing the interest rate risks in the banking book
- managing operational and structural foreign exchange risks
ALM Treasury to operate in the financial markets and partner with all of the Group’s entities.
Responsibilities
The ALM Treasury Business Management intern will be responsible for:
- Various ad-hoc analysis and reconciliation, including market risk, P&L, balance sheet and funding topics;
- Assist front office team on ad-hoc tasks as required;
- Enhance regional ALMT communication platform;
- Support business management in regional projects;
- Maintain a weekly dashboard of financial markets indicators
The Global Banking ALM Treasury intern will be responsible for:
Work across a broad range of items associated with liquidity risk management for Global Banking activities in Asia-Pacific region (APAC). This position will support Global Banking ALMT in the context of balance sheet risk, local ALM Treasury risk regulatory expectations, as well as ensure adherence with BNP Paribas’ ALM Treasury Management Framework, including:
- Production of various indicators for management reporting, covering the whole Asia-Pacific region
- Developing a knowledge of various aspects of Liquidity management and regulatory environment, global regulations (Basel III etc.) and local regulations.
- Understanding of Internal systems/methodologies used by the Bank for liquidity pricing, risk management and contribution to their improvements and developments.
- Analysis Models, historical behavioural studies, hypotheses testing etc.:
- to help local and regional management to steer the balance sheet,
- and to assist senior members of ALM Treasury who manage (including market operations such as short-term borrowings, medium long-term funding, interest Rate swaps, Fx swaps, repos …) the interest rate position of the banking book and the liquidity risk of the Bank.
- ALM Treasury IT tools testing, and assistance in building the new tools if required.

- Previous internship or work experience in an ALM and or Treasury environment beneficial
- Previous experience in neural networks in a financial markets context
- Strong communication skills
