Job Title: Transportation Capital Markets APAC – Transaction Management Team Associate

The Transportation team is responsible for (i) marketing, structuring and executing aircraft and ship financing transactions and (ii) managing the relationship with most transportation clients in Asia Pacific. The candidate will belong to the Transaction Management Team within Transportation Capital Market APAC, and will primarily support the relationship managers and head of TMT team in handling KYC-related matters and processes and legal documentation processes to secure all execution steps from completion of marketing phase to closing, and then manage portfolio of financing transactions over their lifetime. It would also lead to some involvement in marketing to align with execution requirements.
Key Responsibilities
KYC (on-boarding and recertification) and account opening. At the onset KYC may represent a significant part of the workscope.
Documentation (new aviation / shipping loan, waiver and amendment, sell-down, discharge, general banking facility) – negotiation, execution and safe-keeping process,
Trust Control (screening on Key-Stakeholders, “Stop & Go” and “Know your Transaction” frameworks, completing e-Financial Sanctions Checklist, regular screening on all financed vessels, Vessels’ tracking),
Open to work on very diverse structures and products, able to work under occasional high pressure
Clear presentation, synthesis and communication skills
Strong work ethic, team spirit and interpersonal skills
Analytical approach to problem solving
Some previous experience in transportation finance (aviation or shipping) is a plus
