The role

The team undertake the management of Farms and Rural Estates and offer a range of professional rural advice, their technical excellence ensures an impressive client base and they advise on some of the most prestigious clients in the area. The role will be a blend of Farm and Estate Management and professional working within a team.  

Key Deliverables

•    Acting as principal agent for a selection of key farm and estate management clients 

•    Financial management of client’s businesses 

•    Managing farm/estate staff and contractors 

•    Undertaking estate and farming business reviews 

•    Identifying opportunities for appropriate diversification 

•    Understanding, interpreting and communicating effects of the key rural policies 

•    Supporting the directors in winning new work to increase turnover and continue the growth of the department

Person specification

Qualifications/Key Skills

•    Educated to relevant degree level

•    Professionally qualified MRICS or alternative agricultural qualification

•    Experience in a consultancy and/or management role

Experience & Skills

•    Demonstrate team leadership potential, capable of building relationships with existing and new clients and generating new opportunities. 

•    Able to take the initiative and to problem solve to achieve the best outcome for the client

•    Commercially aware and ambitious – able to identify and act on opportunities to generate and then deliver new work in a timely manner

•    Technical excellence in key areas of farm and estate management

•    Sound knowledge of farming and environmental subsidy and grant schemes

•    The ability to think strategically and advise accordingly in respect of client’s businesses

•    Good time management and ability to prioritise workloads

•    Excellent IT skills 

•    Excellent research and analytical skills 

•    Accuracy and attention to detail
