About the job
As a Business Manager for GM Northern Europe, the role holder will be accountable for supporting the GM Head of Northern Europe and his team with its day-to-day business management needs.
The role holder will also drive growth initiatives and support management in country growth plan implementation.
He/she will help to ensure workflows & governance exist to increase productivity and support the industrialisation and automation of the processes as well as streamlining day-to-day operations.
He/she will handle matter with autonomy whilst exercising sound judgment on when to escalate issues within GM Sales COO team.
Your Main Activities Are
- Monitor performance: key performance indicators, financial metrics,
- Provide strategic decision support through critical assessment, information gathering and data analytics
- Articulate governance in the region: ensure fluid information flows and coordination with global initiatives/frameworks
- Drive growth ambitions projects
- Drive growth initiatives across the cluster by working closely with the client development team to identify, support and implement growth initiatives
- Implement Client and Product initiatives to enhance market penetration, client acquisition, and revenue generation
- Country growth plans implementation
- Regulatory requirements
- Front Office organization and risk management: 1LOD control framework, audits, regulatory matters, and remediation plans in coordination with central global teams
- Ensure the business complies with all relevant regulations and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures
- Coordinate any local internal or external regulatory investigations
- Activity monitoring
- Monthly business reviews and quarterly business reviews to head of GM Northern Europe and senior management
- Analysis of Industry Survey Data and Sales Intensity – to enhance sales productivity and effectiveness
- Key activities support and coordination
- Provides excellent support in relation to key activities within the Sales COO team, with experience with understanding and managing relevant factors impacting the area of the business within their personal scope (GM Northern Europe) as well as Global Markets as a whole.
- Ensure coordination on global projects and frameworks, to act as relay and key point of contact for the cluster
- Applies knowledge to perform complex tasks and solve issues in creative and effective ways
- GM management meeting preparation: ExCo materials and minutes, offsites
Profile and Skills to Success
- Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance or similar; or equivalent work experience
- Good understanding of financial markets
- Confident verbal, written communication and networking skills
- Proficient with MS Office tools, including Excel
- Great organisational, multitasking and time management skills
- Strong analysis and judgement, along with meticulous accuracy with a keen eye for detail
- Team player, proactive, independent, enthusiastic self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent spoken and written English. German is an advantage
About the Team
The role holder will seat within the Global Markets Sales COO team. The team is present in London, Lisbon, Paris, New York, Lisbon and Mumbai. The team mandate is broad: to support day-to-day GM Sales operations, to ensure compliance to regulations, drive key projects and foster enhanced productivity and industrialisation of GM sales operations.
