The role

The role of the RMU Leader within the Rating business is to deliver profitable fee income to the business in the context of effect rates management. The role is required to support the Head of Rating in delivery of the business and development plans and to support company’s exciting ambition for growth, especially in the UK, with the main aims being to build on our excellent reputation and increase our market share.

Key deliverables

•    Deliver substantial fee income commensurate with role and department 

•    Provision of sound and profitable advice and transactions to Key clients 

•    Play a critical part in the promotion and development of the Rating offering within the wider BNP Paribas business

•    Actively manage client base to deliver financial goals 

•    Provide accurate management information to the Head of the Business Line as required 

•    Contribute directly towards improving the Rating team’s profitability

•    Develop the skills and potential of the team 

Roles and responsibilities

Financials

•    Undertake business planning activities in line with the company’s aims

•    Manage fee negotiations, billing and actively manage debtors

•    Bill regularly and collect fees as quickly as possible 

•    Accurately forecast fees when required to do so by the Head of the Business line

•    Assist in developing initiatives to improve profitability through the effective rates management

Clients and Business Development

•    Manages existing client relationships and contributes to securing new business and generating revenue

•    Identifies and helps progress new business opportunities both in and outside own discipline

•    Able to work on a broad range of assignments referring only to senior colleagues/specialists on highly unusual or technical issues

•    Manages mid-sized assignments or sections of major projects

•    Broad knowledge of principles and practices of related disciplines

•    Enhances BNP Paribas Real Estate’s reputation through successful delivery

•    Builds own network across service lines

People

    Manages a small team

•    May be a recognised senior specialist who shares knowledge and advises others

•    Works with and develops Graduates and newly qualified employees

•    Coaching/mentoring of others

Systems and Process

•    Evaluates, adapts and improves standards, techniques and procedures

•    May be a contributor to BNP Paribas Real Estate UK projects

Essential qualifications

•    Educated to degree level

Desirable qualifications

•    Institute Revenue Rating & Valuation (IRRV)

Essential experience

•    Demonstrable record of delivery in the UK Real Estate market with a strong Rates Management background

•    Previous experience and substantial evidence of enhancing performance through growth and profitability

•    Developing profile as a new business generator 

•    Be able to manipulate large files of data on excel

•    Reporting and Client Delivery

•    Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
